Declaration: 1. Introduction: Centre for Social & Cultural Studies (CSCS) is a multi-facet socio-cultural organization based at the University of Chittagong. 2. Objective: All activities of CSCS are aimed at promoting the classical social values through the modern approaches. 3. Programmes and Side Organizations: The estimated activities of CSCS includes: (1) Intellectual exercise by Seminar-symposiums, workshops, group discussions and study circles - The CSCS's Free Talks, Islamic Philosophy Research Centre (IPRC), Bangladesh Social Research Centre (BSRC).Group of Researchers in Islamic Philosophy (GRIP), Bangladesh Thinkers Forum (BTF) (2) Publication of academic research works - The CSCS Updates, CSCS Publication, Journal of Islamic Philosophy Research Centre (JIPRC), Journal of CSCS, Journal of Social Research Centre (JBSRC) (3) Skill development programmes - Guidance in Self Development (GSD) (4) Software development, cyber centre and web hosting - Rahnuma IT Solutions (RITS) (5) Production and circulation of cultural presentations - Multimedia Archive, Mahjubah Multimedia (MMmedia) (6) Audio-visual display gatherings - Fair Film Society (FFS) (7) Hosting non-commercial media networks - Alternative TV Networks (ATV Net) (8) Adopting various social aid programmes - Social Aid Programmes (SAP) (9) Celebration of important days. 4. Administration: The chief co-ordinator (CCO) is the final authority to take any decision that is necessary to carry on the activities of CSCS. An advisory board and an executive committee closely help the CCO in administering it effectively. 5. Fund: The CSCS is a non- commercial organization. It's members and well wishers share the required fund by regular and occasional contribution. The CCO is authorised to maintain the fund of CSCS. The chief co-ordinator (CCO) must present the financial reports of CSCS regularly to the executive committee and advisory board.
