The mere thought of sorting the family �shoebox� tucked away in the closet can be a daunting task. Keep in mind the journey is meant to be enjoyable, not a chore. It should bring a smile to your face and pleasure to your heart. If it seems to be overwhelming, take a breather. Remember, it only takes a few photos per page, with a brief thought to capture the moment.
Specific themes could be: special memories of home, childhood gatherings, favorite places from the past, grandparents, vacations, weddings and family reunions. Often times we use clusters of photos spanning this event through the years.

Recipe Album
The Recipe Album can take on many forms. The album may focus on family traditions, Mom and/or Grandma�s favorites or cookie collections. The other alternative is to center the album around Vintage and seasonally appropriate recipes, to accompany the cluster of photos offered.
In both instances, the photos would be sorted, the recipe will become the journaling, other than perhaps a brief identification of the individuals and circa. For example, a collection of summer photos of your grandmother in 1926, if you did not offer the recipe, I would offer �Picnic Sandwiches�.
