| What Mike Says: Ok I've been wanting a remake of this movie for a long time. I liked the 1953 version. Let's face it, It's not a great story to begin with...Well the story is cool but the ending of the original was stupid. For the people who never saw either one of theses movies, I won't say what happens. It was disappointing for me anyway. I was hoping that they would change the ending in the 2005 version but they didn't *sigh* . The actors were great in it. Dakota Fanning was so wonderful in it, As she always is, Tom Cruise did a great job of being a father who didn't seem to really be there for his children well least until the space ships came.. I like the ships better in the new 2005 version. I like the 3 legs...I don't know why but I just do. It has great action and drama...It kept me on the edge of my seat! Then the ending came....The ending I hoped they changed from the original but it never happened....All in all Its a damn good movie..if you want a action pack movie with people running around trying to stay alive, this is it!! See the original first so you see what changes they did and see which one you like better...I kinda like the 2005 one better but you can't mess with the original either!! |
