| What Mike Says: This movie is remake of the 1967 film "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner", which I haven't seen yet. So I didn't know really what the movie was about. The only thing I saw was trailers for it. It looked good so I decided to rent it....It was a very funny movie. It's about this black girl who is dating a white man. The girls parents don't know he's white until she introduces them when she comes to visit. Well the father hates the idea of her daughter seeing a white guy...he really looses it when his daughter tells the family that they are getting married. Well to make his new bride happy, He thinks it would be a good idea to spend sometime with her father..so they might be friends!! Well we all seen this kinda stuff before from other movies and T.V. Shows. So It's no surprise that there will be black and white jokes through out the movie. It works at the level it wants. We all know that her father and soon to be husband become friends....If you didn't already figure that out already...I'm sorry....All in all It's a good movie...not one to rush to see, but good!! |
