Prepare for nightmarish horror!

Three thugs, Stack, Ball, and Bulldog, show up at a funeral home after being called by the funeral home director, Mr. Simms. He claims to have found tons of drugs and wants to deal with them. They come to the home and Mr. Simms stalls. He opens the first coffin and tells the story of Clarence, a man who hears voices from the dead. He then moves on to the next coffin and tells the story about a little boy named Walter and the "monster" that lived in his house. The third story involves a racist, former KKK member, political candidate, Duke Metger, who has moved into a former plantation house which seems to be haunted by the souls of murdered slaves trapped in dolls and an old voodoo priestess. The fourth story concerns a gangbanger convicted of murder and the terrifying horrific process he must go through to learn not to kill his brothers and sisters anymore. The story then jumps back to Stack, Ball, Bulldog, and Mr. Simms in the funeral home. He is finally ready to show them what they came there for. But are they ready to see it?

Tales from the Hood is one of my favorite horror films! Not only does it provide horrifying and terrifying entertainment, it has moral lessons behind it. Rogue Cop Revelation teaches about police brutality on other races. Boys Do Get Bruised teaches about child abuse and spousal abuse. KKK Comeuppance shows how a racist candidate dark past comes back to haunt him. Lastly, Hardcore Convert teaches how people should not want to kill others and the intensive process one must go through after they have been on that path.

The special effects in this movie were excellent. I have to say my absolute favorite part of this movie is the ending because it was not what I expected. I can't say anything else or I will give it away!:) If you have not seen it yet, go get this movie! It is a permanent in my collection!

I rate this movie: 10
