"Playing the old switcheroo?"

The movie opens with a gorgeous male photographer taking pictures of a beautiful woman in his apartment. She starts to act like she wants to seduce him and he follows her up to the roof. They make love. The next morning, his photo assistant Emma comes in and finds him and the woman Doria dead on the roof. Jess and her boyfriend Erik are partners and lovers and they are the ones that are on the case. They speak to people in the building and find out that the photographers name was Michael Perry and he had slept with just about every woman in the building whether they were married or not. They go back in the apartment and search for more clues and Jess and Erik find video tapes where Perry had taped his affairs. All of the women they interviewed loved him but their husbands were a different story. Erik tells Tatro about his wife Doria that has been murdered with Perry. He is glad Perry is dead and says that he had been seeing his wife for a long time. He goes to show his gun to Erik but it is gone and it is the same gun caliber that killed Perry and Doria. Erik is suspicious. As it goes along, Jess and Erik find out that Perry was not his real name but they do not know why he changed it. Jess goes back to the Micheal's apartment later and watches the sex tapes when a man who claims to be Michael Perry comes in. Next she finds out that he had an insane twin named Mitchell Carson who has escaped from the mental facility he had been confined to. Michael swears the murdered twin was Mitchell.....or was it?

Obviously, the plot for this was not hard to figure out. It is a late night movie and not a "for all ages" film. You can guess from the very beginning who was Michael and who was probably Mitchell by the way they act. One thing I can say is that Kevin Spirtas did an incredible job portraying Mitchell and Michael. There were obvious differences and he even talked a little different when he was one and then the other. His acting I would give an 8 in this film. Maybe it was just me, but what was all the fuss over Jess? She did not seem that pretty at all and her boyfriend Erik was even less attractive. Who could blame her for going after Michael/Mitchell.

I originally got this movie because Kevin Spirtas starred in it. However, even though I enjoyed his acting, there were a lot of problems with this film. There was more sex it seemed than storyline. Plus the storyline was so weak, you knew who had killed who by the middle of the movie and you could not figure out why the detective Jess could not. If Spirtas had not starred, I probably would not have gotten through the first fifteen minutes. Overall, I give this film

I rate this movie: 5
