"May the force be with you."

Princess Leia Organa and the rebels have stolen the Empire's plans to their new station. Leia is on board the ship when the Empire and Vader storm it and begin searching for Leia. She puts her message for Obi Wan Kenobi into a robot called R2D2 and is then captured. R2 and his other counterpart C3PO get away and escape to another planet where they are captured by Jawas and sold to Luke Skywalker and his Uncle. R2D2 runs away to fulfill Leia's mission and it is up to C3PO and Luke to find him before Luke's Uncle Owen finds out. They find R2 but C3PO and Luke are attacked by Sand People. Ben Kenobi finds them and helps them. He learns who Luke is and Luke learns who he is. He realizes the importance of the droids and realizes that the Empire might go looking for them back at his home. When he gets there, his family are dead. He then sets off to help with Leia's mission and goes with Ben. They go to a Space Port to find a captain to take them where they need to go and they meet Han Solo and Chewbacca. They agree to fly in the Millennium Falcon and the adventure begins!

I remember watching Star Wars when I was a little girl. It used to come on HBO over and over again! I watched it everytime it came on because my dad was watching it. It is a great beginning for any movie series even if it began with Episode 4. I think I loved it so much when I was small because of all of the special effect characters like Greedo and other aliens in the bar where Luke and Ben went in to find Han. I liked seeing all of the different characters. Most of all, I was mesmerized by the light sabers. I thought they were so cool!

I still love this movie as an adult because now I can appreciate the storyline. As a child, I really did not understand what was going on. The story makes sense now. I think my favorite part is when Han and Luke are disguised as Storm Troopers and they go in to rescue Leia. It is so disgusting that it is cool when they go down into the Trash pit. Yuck! And then it turns comical when C3PO finds them and stops the Pit from crushing. They start screaming and C3PO thinks they are dying. Of course how it ends is the best. No one can doubt that! A classic movie that will stay in my family for years to come!
