America v. Canada

This animation/musical begins with a song from Stan and leads to a musical with all four South Park main characters. Stan goes to his friends houses and tells them that the new Terance and Phillip movie is out. They all prepare to go. The audience gets a feeling for the way the parents feel about their children when they ask to go to the movie. Stan's mother gives him money with no questions asked thinking how pure and sweet her child is. Sheila, Kyle's mother, thinks all of the children's minds are frail and fragile, easily influenced. Cartman's mom is never asked, he just does what he wants. Kenny's mother tells him that he has to go to church and when he does not, she tells him to go ahead and go and when he dies he will have to answer to Satan and he says okay. All of the boys get to the theater and they are told they cannot see the movie because of the rating so they bribe a homeless guy to say he is their guardian and they get in. The movie exposes them to vulgar language, horrible things that have never come out of children's mouths in that town before. The boys then go to the frozen pond and show off the language they learned. The other kids rush to see the film too. By the next day, all of the kids in South Park, except Gregory and Wendy, have seen this movie and are cursing like these boys. The parents are unaware of what is going on until Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny get in trouble for saying the "f" word in Mr. Garrison's class. The parents are called in and they start a campaign against the movie in their town. But instead of it just being a campaign against the movie, it ends up being a campaign against Canada because the Canadian representative does not see anything wrong with the movie. The parents request their children have rehabilitation and after that, the kids sneak off and see the movie again. Kenny is killed doing something he saw in the movie and the campaign against Canada intensifies. America and Canada are poised for war. If they go to war and blood is spilled, Satan could be allowed to return to Earth. Can the kids stop the war and the murder of their heroes and save the world? Or will South Park bring about the destruction of the world?

I have to tell you. The first time I saw this, I was totally offended by the language and gestures presented. This movie, which "isn't" uncut by the way, I believe was made to shock the pants off of anyone who watched it. It crossed more boundaries than Me, Myself, and Irene with Jim Carrey. The parts that were the worst were the scenes with Satan and Saddam Hussein. Those were horrible. The sound effects will turn your stomach.

The sad thing about this movie is that South Park is animated and parents probably let their kids see this movie. The children curse constantly, as if they never did before on the show. Why are the parents just now noticing this is my question? There are a lot of things children should not see in this movie.

Another problem I had was with the Americans fighting Canadians. What is the problem? America is a great nation. Canada is a great nation. All of the Canadians I have met are wonderful people. Some of the greatest actors on television are from Canada and some of the best television shows are filmed in Canada. The song "Blame Canada" was just too much and it was offensive to me as it probably was to a lot of people.

The worst thing of all is that, the world is saved by Cartman cursing his fool head off. How could anyone save the world that way?

How does this movie still make me feel? Very few parts are funny. I mostly feel overall disgust.
