Buddy Love Returns!

Sherman is finally in love again with Denise Gaines but he cannot seem to shake the nightmare that Buddy Love is going to come back and wreck everything for him. He is even seeking therapy in which Buddy seems to come out through Sherman during the session. The shrink tells Sherman that he is in charge and he can control Buddy Love which he believes for a little while. He even goes back to school and sits in on fellow professor Denise Gaines lecture on DNA. Dean Richmond comes in at the end and they tell him they have something to show him. They have discovered the secret to youth but they have not figured out how to make it last for a long time. Buddy seems to be staying out of his life until he asks Denise to go out with his family to celebrate his father's retirement. Buddy pops out in the middle of Sherman's toast to his father and tells the truth about his father's job which devastates him and his family. He tells his assistant Jason about what has been happening with Buddy and he wants him out of his system. Meanwhile, Denise is offered a job in another state and is considering it even though she does profess her love for Sherman. But after he loses Denise because of Buddy, Sherman decides it is time to extract Buddy from his DNA despite the risks it might involve so that he and Denise can have a life together. But the consequences are severe. Can Denise save Sherman before it is too late?

Once again, another Klump masterpiece! The best scenes in this movie were the ones with the other characters besides Sherman. I really enjoyed two in particular. One was when the Klump family was eating in the restaurant and Denise went with them. The scene in the restaurant also showed the audience that Denise could hold her own with the Klumps and did not seem intimidated by them at all. Whereas in the first installment, Carla Purty was friendly but there was something about the character that said she did feel a little intimidated by them. More funny parts in this whole movie! Grandma and Isaac are funny thoughout the whole film even though Isaac has no speaking part in the film. I also liked after Cletus discovered Sherman's youth juice and transformed himself. Although he did not get the reaction from his wife that he wanted.

Overall, it is an excellent comedy. I was not happy to see Buddy Love appear in his own form. That was a little scary. But besides toning Buddy down a little, there is nothing I would change about this film!

I rate this film: 9
