Sin always comes back to haunt you......

Sin definitely comes back to haunt Julia Cotton as well as Frank Cotton in the horror thriller that started the series, Hellraiser. Frank is punished terribly for something although we do not know what when he opens the box that can bring both pleasure and pain. He is ripped to shreds by hooks put into him by Pinhead and the Cenobites.

Soon after Julia Cotton and Larry Cotton, Frank's brother move into the house where Frank had been squatting. Larry rips his hand on a nail while moving a mattress and the blood the drips to the floor reawakens Frank who now must need blood and flesh from others to stay alive. Even before he reveals himself to Julia, we learn that Frank and Julia had an affair the day that Julia was supposed to be married to Larry. She swears then and there that she will do anything that Frank ever asks of her. Now that Frank needs the blood and flesh, he makes the request of Julia to bring it to him and he tells her that everything will be the same as it was if he can become whole again. Their only problem: Larry's daughter, Kirsty, finds out and is determined to save her father from the same fate that has befallen so many others. Will Kirsty be able to save her father in time before Frank devours him? You'll have to watch and see.

Overall, this is a great horror movie. On a horror scale, it is definitely a ten. However, there seemed to be a lack of a real storyline and it was mostly gore. I would have liked to have known more about the possible sibling rivalry between Frank and Larry. Why did Julia just let a stranger come in and rip off her clothes the day that she was to be married? Many questions were not answered that I feel should have been. Because of this:
