"Every man has a price."

The movie begins with a man's voice in a jail cell speaking to a visitor. They tell the tale of "The Grave". King and Tyn were two convicts from Rutledge Prison in South Carolina. They stole a Cadillac and their so-called friend, Travis, ratted them out to keep himself out of prison. While they are doing their daily exercise, Wex tells them that he will tell them where some treasure is buried if they can get Lomangelo to leave him alone in the prison. King agrees and he tells them that there is a fortune buried in Mathison Hoke's grave. King and Tyn decide that the jewels and money were worth breaking out for and a guard helps them break out of the prison. While they are on the run, Tyn is shot and King takes him to the one person that has to help them, Travis, who runs a funeral home and makes him help Tyn. King tells everyone he comes into contact with about the grave and then leaves Tyn to go to his old girlfriend Jordan's house. She is reluctant to let him in but does. He informs her of the treasure. But Tyn is in bad shape and ends up telling Travis all about it. The more people know, the more that are after the gold! Who will get there first? Who will make it?

I had to watch this movie quite a few times before I liked it. I think the addition of Anthony Michael Hall which I realized who he was later, helped. It also starred two of my other favorite actors, Craig Sheffer and Giovanni Ribisi. That gives it points right there. But the story itself was genuinely good. Two convicts looking for love and treasure and trying to get to both before someone else does. One thing I have to comment on is how well the accents were done by Craig Sheffer and Anthony Michael Hall. Especially Anthony Michael Hall. He really sounded Southern and did not sound fake at all like some of the actors do when they try to fake a Southern accent. At least one of the characters lacked a storyline to explain why they act the way they do. It's like you have a loose cannon running around and you are wondering where he come from and why he came at all. You don't get many husband/wife pairing movies anymore either and I also liked this because of Gabrielle Anwar/Craig Sheffer, a great husband wife pairing.

Overall, this movie has it pretty much all: romance, comedy, action, suspense, thrills, but only lacked a little.

I rate this film: 7
