Very strange indeed!

What a tangled web we weave when we struggle to deceive! David and Alexis Weinberg's lives are changed forever when they find a young man on the side of the road while going to their boat. He appears to have been attacked but he will not let them call the police. They give him a ride and end up missing their boat. Alexis gives the young man some money and they go onto a hotel. Since they missed their other trip, David surprises Alexis and packs a picnic, taking her to the place where he proposed to her. When they get to the island, they are surprised to find that the young man is already there. They invite the young man to stay at their home on the island and he accepts. Alexis is afflicted with strange dreams from the moment they have the young man in the house and she cannot figure out why. The next morning the young man has fixed them breakfast to thank them and David seems to have a change of heart about the young man staying with them. He starts to become a permenant fixture on them. But it all seems so strange...why would a stranger fit so well into their small knit family. How did he know they would be on that island and manage to get there? Is he working with someone else to attempt to get the Weinberg's money? Or does he have another agenda?

First off, I have to say that this was an entirely strange movie. Something about it bothered me from the very beginning. David and Alexis both seemed very careless to stop even though it may have been an injured stranger. To keep running back into him would have been too strange for me. But it did not seem to bother these two. After the young man stays for a while, you begin to wonder if he has a secret agenda. Something about him is not just right. Especially after you see him playing "dress up" with Alexis. In the words of Hank Hill of King of the Hill, "That boy ain't right!".

In total, the movie drags on a bit. Parts of it get boring and for those who do not like a 'thinking' movie, this movie is not for you. Even though it drags, you are constantly wondering about each character's motivation. The best part is truly the ending which surprises you entirely. Get ready! I enjoyed the movie a bit because Norman Reedus was in it. But if you are not a fan of any of the actors starring in this movie, I would not recommend it. I can't even say that the story was good enough to recommend.
