Revenge is best served cold

As the movie unfolds at the beginning, we see the great beginnings of a great action movie. A facility was robbed of a lethal nerve gas that will spread quickly and easily leaving September 11th looking only like child's play if it is ever released. Two agents are discussing their next interview with Agent Alex Brooks, of Customs. They grill him endlessly about his last problem case file and they want to know why he made the decisions that he did. So Alex goes back in his memories to pull them to the surface and that is the body of the movie. He met with a source, Ricky Simms and he tells him that there is a Russian mob shipment on its way and it will be at Pearson's warehouse. He knows because a bunch of Russians paid him to help slip it by customs. Alex threatens him and says that things are going to be bad if he is lying to him. Ricky swears he is not and he lets him go. His boss seems reluctant to let Alex go after the tip that Ricky has given him but he finally agrees. He gets his team together and they go inside and find a group of Russians drinking and playing cards. They start opening drums and boxes finding wine, caviar, and then when one of them is about to open another drum, shooting begins and one of Alex's team is killed. Just as the lead evil Russian general appears to get his merchandise, a woman Russian agent, Natalya Batalova, appears and stops him. The Russian government, FBI, and US Customs all want their hands on this rogue general Simeonov. Alex finds out about the biological weapon afterwards and is then suckered into going with the FBI and KGB to Washington to sort things out so he can answer questions about what happened. Simeonov's men somehow found their way onto the plane and he is released. The plane crashes and the only survivors are Alex and Natalya, both which do not trust the other. Can they work together to stop Simeonov before he gains the shipment and poisons the world?

One of the main reasons I picked this movie up to begin with was because Sean Patrick Flanery was starring in it. But besides that fact, it turned out to be a great action movie. For some reason, the first part of the movie when Alex was talking with Ricky was one of my favorite parts because it was informative in terms of how the movie was going to go from there and it was funny. I also liked when Alex and Natalya made it to the cabin in the snow. I was a little disappointed by this scene because we unfortunately had to see her without anything and we were not granted the same by Flanery. Very disappointing in that respect. Arnold Vosloo always portrays a great bad guy. He just looks evil and I guess that adds to his bad guy characters. And the character of Zednik, yikes! I get chills just thinking about how creepy this guy was.

The camera shots in this movie were great too. We got to see lots of scenes with speeding trains and the avalanche scene was the best. The only worst camera angle scene was when Simeonov and his men parachuted from the plane. You could tell that a scene from some other film was used. It did not match very well in my opinion.

But overall, this movie is very enjoyable. If you are an action junkie, this movie is for you!
