Chucky returns for another round!

The beginning shows Chucky being remade in the toy store where he was destroyed in the first installment of Child's Play. Meanwhile, Andy Barkley's mother was so convinced that her son was telling the truth about Chucky that she was admitted to a mental hospital for observation and Andy was placed in foster care. He gets placed with a new family and they already have another foster kid living with them, a girl named Kyle. Andy has everything he has ever wanted, a great room and lots of toys. He just misses his Mom. Meanwhile, Chucky comes to life while they are repairing him and he kills some of the factory people. He makes the head of Good Guy Toys's assistant drive him to where Andy is at his new home. He then ties up the man and suffocates him. Andy admits to his foster mom that he misses his mommy and asks her to stay with him for a while before he goes to sleep. Once Chucky gets there, he uses the mother's favorite antique to beat the old Good Guy doll in Andy's house to death and then he buries it in the back yard. Kyle and Andy are both grounded when the ceramic is found broken. Both say they did not do it. They think Andy did it because Kyle has been there a long time and nothing has ever happened to it. The foster dad knows how upset a simple doll makes Andy and thinks he may have more problems that what their family is capable of dealing with. So Andy goes and gets the Good Guy Doll that he was scared of before and brings it out with him so they can see him. He wants to stay with them because they have been so good to him. But Chucky is determined to make Andy look crazy because he still wants his body so that he can live again. Chucky makes Kyle look like she was hurting Andy one time. Another time, Chucky writes something nasty on Andy's paper and gets him in trouble. Chucky then attacks the stepdad and he sees that Andy is right but it is too late because he dies. Mother blames Andy. She keeps Kyle but sends Andy back to social services. Andy warns Kyle about Chucky before he leaves so she decides to throw him in the garbage right then. She then uncovers the other doll in the yard. Chucky is no longer in the trash but in the house after her foster mom. Will Chucky kill the Mom and Kyle? Will Kyle survive? Can Kyle get to Andy before Chucky does? Watch and find out!

The special effects are even better in this movie than in the first. That seems to be the pattern in these Child's Play films. Each one is a little better than the last. It is so freaky to think that something a child trusts, a doll, can come to life and kill the ones they love most. Talk about scary! One thing about this movie that really bothered me was the whole things surrounding Andy's foster parents. First of all, why couldn't something have happened before they died to make them believe Andy? Also how could Andy's foster mother think that he had anything to do with killing the father? Andy needed their support and guidance and yet all they could do was chastize him. How come she could not believe that there was something more to it than just Andy being a disturbed child? I just could not comprehend that.

The best part of this movie is the ending. There were so many special effects and they were great and used well. In the end, Kyle and Andy are in the toy factory and Chucky is after them. That is all that I am going to say because I don't want to give away the ending. But to me, watching the whole movie is well worth it to get to this ending.
