"Seeing is Believing"

Carrigan Crittenden inherits Whipstaff Manor from her father. She is disgusted when she finds that not only is it a dump in her eyes, it's also haunted my four ghosts! She tries everything she can to get these ghosts out of the house but nothing can get Fatso, Stinkie, Slim, and Casper out of the house! Then Casper sees Kat Harvey, daughter of James Harvey, a ghost psychiatrist and he likes her so he makes sure Carrigan sees the same show and she hires the Harveys to come stay at Whipstaff and get the ghosts out of the house. When Kat goes up to choose a room, she chooses Casper's room and he is thrilled. She meets Casper and it scares her to death. The Uncles arrive and scare them to death. Later Casper approachs Kat and she is better. She and Casper become friends. She goes to school and is not very popular but when she volunteers their new house as the place for their Halloween party, that pushes her more towards popularity. But Amber will not see that happen and plans to ruin the party. The Uncles try to chase the doctor out but they realize he is not going anywhere and they go out on the town together. But will it be his last ride?

This is a great movie for viewers of all ages! I loved the special effects in terms of the ghosts and what they were able to do with them! That was what first attracted me to this film in the first place. I also really liked the way that Casper truly exemplifies in this film Dr. Harvey's theory on ghosts: spirits with unfinished business. He died so young that he did not get to have and do everything he always wanted to do. For a while his parents were his unfinished business because his father could not let go of his son and even bought a machine to bring him back to life. Another scene I really liked is when the doctor goes out with the other ghosts. What happens to him is not so nice and even a little sad but it really shows the bond between father and daughter and I really enjoyed that.

Overall, this is a fun movie for kids of all ages. I give this movie.....
