Ya'll come back now, ya hear?

An all star cast and excellent comedy make this movie a must watch! Based on the televisions series, backwoodsman, Jed Clampett, strikes oil while hunting one day. His sister, Pearl, comes over shortly after and insists that they go to Beverly Hills "Californey". Jed is reluctant but after Ellie May manhandles an oil workman, Jed decides that it is high-time that he find someone to help tame Ellie May into a young woman and decides to move the whole family to Beverly Hills like Pearl had suggested.

Even before the Clampetts get to Beverly Hills, Banker Milton Drysdale is already planning his arrival along with his personal assistant, Jane Hathaway, and sneaky office associate, Woody Tyler. Tyler plans to swindle the Clampetts out of their fortune along with his girlfriend, Laura. Mrs. Drysdale suggests that getting a French tutor would help Elly May become a woman and Laura pretends to be a French tutor in order to get close to Jed. She thinks she can steal his money once she gets close to him.

This movie is a roller coaster of laughs after the family moves to Beverly Hills. From the time Jed and his family learn "how people in Californey say howdy" to the very end when we hear "Ya'll come back now, ya hear?" All of the new cast did an excellent job in portraying the characters. I especially liked Diedrich Bader as Jethro and Jethrine. He kept me in stitches the whole time. Oh, and by the way, if you are watching the VHS version of this movie, make sure you let it run to the end and see the bloopers. Those were great. This film had all of the elements a good comedy should have. I highly recommend it!
