Rock and roll riot....

Chazz is nothing more than a wannabe rock star. He knows that he is a wannabe because nothing has gone his way in terms of his career in a very long time. Nearly every day, he tries to sneak into Palantine Records to get Jimmy Wing,head record executive to listen to his band's record but they will never give him a shot. His girlfriend is tired of alwayshaving to support him and has thrown him out for the final time,destroying the only other copy of his demo in the process. After going to live with Pip and Rex, his bandmates, they devise a plan to get famous and get their record played for millions of people. They take toy guns that were banned from the toy store Rex works at and they take a radio station hostage to get them to play their record. Problem after problem plagues them once they areinside but the question remains, are they going to be able to become famous just by holding a radio station hostage?

First of all, how will taking a radio station hostage ever get anyone famous except in the criminal records of the state they live in? That was a bonehead idea to begin with. The actors they had playing these roles were also ridiculous. As I look back, I can't believe Brendan Fraser wanted to do such a film. Yikes! That hair had to go! They drew a very cheap image of the record industry in this film. It's like saying it is okay to do whatever you have to whether illegal or not just to get your record played. In the end, they are famous, thus telling people that crime pays.

If this movie sound incredibly boring and stupid to you, it is because it is. Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler are all really good actors. But when the script stinks as bad as this one did, even their talent cannot outshine the crappiness of this film. This movie totally stunk up the theater when it came out and continues to stink up any vcr you put it in. Do yourself a favor and skip it.
