Finally, we watched a comedy!!! Something normal for once. Well, comedies aren't really that normal, but it's better than Pink Floyd The Wall. Anyway, the reason why we watched Starsky and Hutch was because Lauren wasn't there because she'd already seen it so since she wasn't there, it was ok for us to watch it. Ok, well, here's my review of Starsky and Hutch...
Personally, I love Ben Stiller movies. I just don't think they can go wrong. The same applies for Starsky and Hutch. It was so much better than Without A Paddle, which is what would've been the review for this week had I not seen Starsky and Hutch, which will now be referred to as S&H because Starsky and Hutch takes to long to type out. Anyway...the movie begins by showing how different S&H's outlooks on being a cop are. Then they become partners and then they become best friends. So it had the same basic story line of any cop movie...but it has Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson in it, so it was different. They were good as Starsky and Hutch. I especially enjoyed Starsky's character he took on towards the end and he kept saying, "Do It...Do It." Another notable thing about this movie, it was one of the only movies where Beau quoted it the next day, which is saying a lot because he basically never does. But in the end, Stiller and Wilson did a great job as Starsky and Hutch.
HOWEVER...the person that stole the entire movie was none other than Will Ferrell. He was hilarious in the itsy-bitsy, tiny role he had...but he was so funny as Big Earl that he was my favorite character in the movie. Snoop Dogg also did a great job as Huggy Bear. Can't say anymore there.
So if you haven't already, rent Starsky and Hutch. Whether you want a good laugh or you can't think of anything else to watch during the weekend...this is a great movie and is well worth the time lost while watching it. |
