The majority of the population is wiped out, except for a few survivors whom are mysteriously immune to the disease. The devil sees his big chance, and comes to earth to draw people to his location in Las Vegas, while the holy Mother Abigail draws people to Boulder, Colorado. As the two sides grow, the good siding with Mother Abagail and the evil siding with the man known as Randall Flagg, they prepare to make one final Stand which will have endless consequences for the future of mankind.Based on the novel by Stephen King

Review:

Tim: I usually don't like to review TV movies, because I feel the quality simply cannot compare to those on the big screen. I made an exception in this case, however, because this movie is just so good. The acting in the while is wonderful, but the real success of the film comes from Stephen King and his extraordinary book. I read the complete edition of The Stand, which is a couple thousand pages. The book is simply tremendous, which makes this movie excellent as well.

For those of you who have no time to sit and read the extremely long (but extremely interesting) book, I recommend saving some time by watching this 6 hour movie. The events that unfold are simply genius, and very thought-provoking. I recommend this film or even the book wholeheartedly. As the front of the film's box displays: "The end of the world is just the beginning"

Rating 1-10

If You Enjoyed This Movie, We Recommend: Psycho, The Langoliers, Storm of the Century
