| REVIEW BY CATHERINE KRUMMEY As the first of Wilson's three (Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde) and Hudson's two (Le Divorce) summer flicks, Alex & Emma is a major disappointment. Let's hope Angels, Blonde and Divorce are a lot better. While the story of the novel Wilson's character is dictating to Hudson's character is somewhat interesting, the plot of the actual movie is not. Wilson and Hudson are both great actors, but this movie proves that two rights don't make it right. Furthermore, after the somewhat good turn of Hudson in another romantic comedy, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (with Matthew McConaughey), let's hope that this great actress doesn't stick with the romantic comedy and gets into some great drama. |
