~*~ LOST 2 ~*~

Man of Science, Man of Faith

Hurley: Dude, why did you do that?
Locke: Do what?
Hurley: Why did you blow it up?
Locke: Why wouldn't I?
Hurley: Maybe because I was running at you, waving my arms yelling "dont do that!"!?!

Desmond in arena, leaving Jack: See you in another life.

Hurley: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. 4, 8, We're dead, 15, 16, 23, 42.
Kate: What?
Hurley: Oh....nothing I just...have to pee... before we drop down into the burning death hole.

Jack: Is this what you were talking about Locke? Is this your destiny? All roads lead here.

Hurley telling Jack about the "numbers": ....I was in a psych ward for a while, and this guy...Leonard...he kept repeating these numbers over and over---4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. I guess they must have got stuck in my head. So, when I got out---well, shortly after, like a couple of months after---I was buying a frozen burrito when I decided I should play the lottery, and since the only numbers I could think of were those numbers, I played them. And I won...$114 million. But then, after, bad things started happening all around me---my grandpa died, my house burned down, the chicken place I worked at was hit by a meteor....well, actually that would have been a meteorite... So tonight, I saw those same numbers stamped into the side of that hatch thing, and I knew we couldn't open it.
Jack: Wait...you were in a psych ward?

Hurley: You're kidding, right? You're going back?
Jack: Yeah.
Hurley: What about all that stuff you said about waiting 'til morning and watching the sun rise?
Jack: I changed my mind.

Kate: Why do you want to get down there so bad?
Locke: -ly. Why do I want to get down there so badly. Jack thinks I'm crazy, doesn't he?
Kate: Why, because you want to drop into a hatch that's been locked from the inside by a foot-thick steel door that says "quarantine?"
Locke: Well, look at the bright side. The damage is done.
Kate: The bright side?
Locke: And if Jack thinks I've lost it, I can't blame him, really. Then again, five hours ago I was pulled into a hole by what appeared to be a column of black smoke. Did you see it, Kate? Then I guess we're both crazy. Wonder what Jack thinks he saw?

Kate: What do I say if I want to stop?
Locke: Stop?

Adrift

Sawyer to Michael: What are you gonna do, splash me?

Sawyer to Michael: How about that? Current brought us back. We're home.

Michael: I see you managed to hold on to your best friend there. That thing ain't going to work, anyway.
Sawyer: It'll work.
Michael: You were under water.
Sawyer: What do you know about guns, anyway, Hoss. It'll work.

Michael: Where's Walt?
Sawyer: I don't know.
Michael: Where is he?
Sawyer: I don't know.
Michael: Where the hell is my son? Walt!

Sawyer: I made you fire - what, this is my fault?
Michael: They took my son. They found us - took Walt - because you made me fire the flare.
Sawyer: At least Walt is on a boat - probably wrapped in a blanket with a cup of cocoa - while we're on this piece...
Michael: Get off my raft.

Sawyer: It's a shark. It's only a shark.
Michael: It's only a shark? That's supposed to make me feel better?

Sawyer: I'll just stop bleeding then!

Sawyer:Did you suddenly forget what happened? Why I got shot?
Michael: What?
Sawyer: Hey, how about a little gratitude here? I'm mean - a thank you.
Michael: Thank you? For what? For you trying to save your own ass?

Orientation

Hurley: Dude, I've got to say, I didn't think we were going to get through the night. And I wasn't even here for that baby stealing part.
Sayid: I can assure you it was very exciting.
Hurley: It's about time things are finally returning to normalness.

Ana Lucia: Flight 815?
Sawyer: You were on it, too?
Michael: What? You were in the back? It broke off mid-air. How did you...
Ana Lucia: I don't know. I don't know. The plane came apart, and somebody's fricking hardside came out of the overhead and knocked me out. I woke up under water and made my way to the top -- swam to shore.

Locke: We're gonna need to watch that again.

Locke: There was a code, he made me enter it.
Hurley: What code?
Sayid: You remember what it is?
Locke: 4, 8...
Hurley: Wait a minute!
Locke: 15, 16...
Hurley: Dude, I'm serious, stop!!
Locke: Hugo, this is not the time or the place!
Hurley: Yeah well, i think it is!
Locke: 23....
Hurley: What is this thing, I mean you don't even know what it does, i mean we need--
Locke: 32.
Hurley: You know what? Forget it. Go ahead, do your thing.

Jack: Do you ever think that maybe they put you down here to push a button every 100 minutes just to see if you would? That all of this, the computer, the button, is just a mind game, an experiment.
Desmond: Every single day.

Sawyer: Next time Shaft comes along, he's gonna get a nice little howdie-doodie.

******

Everybody Hates Hugo

Sawyer: Well, let me break it down for you, Mikey. Right now, Rambina and her buddies are trying to figure out what to do with us. Until they make up their damn mind there ain't nothing we can do.

Ana Lucia: When I tell you to do something, you do it. I say move, you move. I say stop, you stop. I say jump, what do you say?
Saywer: You first.

Charlie: Oh, and the time you told me you were worth 150 million dollars?
Hurley: It's 156 million.
Charlie: I'm sorry, I must've confused it with the 900 trillion I'm worth, myself. And this baby's made of chocolate and lollipops, so if you'll excuse us, I'm gonna flap my wings and fly off this island!

Hurley: Dude promise me something.
Johnny: Ok, what?
Hurley: Promise me that no matter what happens, we'll never change...this will never change.
Johnny: Okay....

Jin to Hurley: Have a cluckety-cluck-cluck day, Hugo.

Hurley: I do excercise.
Hurley's mother: Falling down is not excercise. The only time you move is to lift a drumstick from the bucket. Everyday is the same thing, work, TV, chicken. You have to change your life. You think someone else will change it for you? Maybe if you pray every day, Jesus Christ will come down from heaven, take 200 pounds, and bring you a decent woman and a new car.

Sawyer: Howdie boys. Thanks for the rescue.
Michael: Everything is cool. We had a talk and they believe we were on the plane too.
Sawyer: Swell. Guess we could all sue Oceanic together.

Charlie to Locke: Yeah. Quite simply, John: There are a lot of secrets around here. And I'm tired of sitting in the bloody kids' table!

******

...And Found

Saywer: You married?
Ana Luca: What?
Saywer: Are you married?
Ana Luca: No.
Saywer: Too bad, you seem suited for it.

Sun: Did you see me...?
Locke: Rip apart your garden...? No.

Locke: I'm not lost anymore.
Sun: How did you do that?
Locke: Same way anything lost gets found...I stopped looking.

******

Abandoned

Shannon: So, does all this -- the tent, flowers-- mean that we're serious now?
Sayid: Quite definitely not. I do this for all the girls I meet on deserted islands.

Shannon: I didn't ask you to follow me.
Sayid: No, you'd rather be out here alone and get lost or hurt.
Shannon: I don't need your help, Sayid.
Sayid: Walt is not out here. You're following a Labrador, not a Bloodhound -- in an effort to find a boy who's on a raft in the middle of the ocean.

Sawyer: Mike only cares about himself and his kid. Neither's got squat to do with me.
Michael: Glad you feel that way.
Sawyer: Didn't expect to see you again.

Libby: Let me take a look at your shoulder.
Sawyer: Are you a doctor?
Libby: A clinical psychologist.
Sawyer: A shrink. Maybe you should talk to my shoulder.
Libby: How did you get shot?
Sawyer: With a gun.

Sayid: I know what it is to lose someone you care deeply about.
Shannon: You think this is about Boone? I saw Walt.
Sayid: Then why are we sitting at Boone's grave.
Shannon: Go back Sayid.
Sayid: Where are you going?
Shannon: To find him.

******

The Other 48 Days

Goodwin: I'm worried about you, Ana. You've had him down there 4 days.
Ana: I promised that little girl that I would get her back home to her mom.

Nathan: I didn't see you on the plane either.
Ana-Luca: That's because you weren't on it!

Ana Lucia: What? You're talking now?
Mr. Eko: It has been forty days.
Ana-Lucia: You waited forty days to talk?
Mr. Eko: You waited forty days to cry?

Goodwin: What is that?
Ana Lucia: It's a list.
Libby: A list of what?
Ana Lucia: A list of us.

******

Collision

Locke: We should stop and think about this, Jack.
Jack: Think about what, John? Shannon's dead, Sayid's being held at gunpoint. You want to sit and hope that situation resolves itself -- be my guest.

Bernard: What are we doing here, Ana? I mean, their camp has got to be close. I just want to get back to my wife.
Ana Lucia: How long have I kept you alive out here, Bernard? That's right. So, cut me some slack.

Therapist: So how're you doing?
Ana: Well, the family with the screaming baby moved.
Theraptist: You must be thrilled?
Ana: Actually, it's too quiet now.

Ana Lucia: Are you doing this because you're my Captain, or because you're my mother?
Captain Cortez: Both.
Ana Lucia: I need to be back on the street. Please.
Captain Cortez: I put you in a car everyone's going to know I pulled strings. You don't want me to treat you like my daughter? Don't ask for favors.

Sayid to Ana-Lucia: Almost 40 days ago on this very island I tied a man to a tree and tortured him. I tortured him as I've tortured many men -- men whose voices I still hear in the night. Should you kill me? Maybe you should. Maybe you were meant to.

Ana-Lucia: I killed someone he loved.

******

What Kate Did

Jack: Tequila and tonic, that's your drink, right?
Ana: Where's the tonic?
Jack: We're running a little low on mixers.

Kate: Can you hear me? Sawyer? Wayne? I'm probably crazy and this doesn't matter, but maybe you're in there somehow. But you asked me a question. You asked me why I why I did it? It wasn't because you drove my father away, or the way you looked at me, or because you beat her. It's because I hated that you were a part of me that I would never be good. That I would never have anything good. And every time that I look at Sawyer, every time I feel something for him I see you, Wayne. It makes me sick.
Sawyer: That's about the sweetest thing I've ever heard.
Kate: Sawyer?
Sawyer: Who the hell is Wayne?

Kate: Why didnt you tell me that Wayne was my father?
Sgt. Austen: I didnt tell you because I knew youd kill him...and your mother loved him. You were five years oldI wanted to take you along with me, she wouldnt let me.
Kate: So why didnt you kill him?
Sgt. Austen: Because I dont have murder in my heart.

Kate: I'm sorry I missed it; her funeral. I had to be with Sawyer, so...
Sayid: Why aren't you with him now?
Kate: Because I'm going crazy. Do you believe in ghosts, Sayid?
Sayid: I saw Walt in the jungle just before Shannon was shot. Does that make me crazy?

******

The 23rd Psalm

Hurley: Yo, Sawyer, glad you're back, man.
Sawyer: Yo yourself, Pillsbury.

Charlie to Eko: How'd you know about the plane? It's old, you know. It's been out in the jungle for years. Of course, you would know that, you know everything.

Drug dealer: It is true what they say about you.
Eko: And what is that?
Drug dealer: You have no soul.

******

The Hunting Party

Sawyer: Are you sure Mike went this way?
Locke: What do you ask?
Sawyer: Oh, I don't know, Mr. Clean, I probably would have gone around Mt. Vesuvius.
Locke: Why'd you pick that name?
Sawyer: Ain't it obvious? All you need's an earring and a mop.
Locke: No, your name. Why'd you pick Sawyer?
Sawyer: What do you mean, pick?
Locke: After the census Hurley gave me the flight manifest. Your name is James, right? James Ford.
Sawyer: What's it to you?
Locke: Just an interesting name to choose, is all. Who'd you get it from?
Sawyer: Who says I got it from anybody?

Sawyer to Kate: If he'd told me to stay behind, I'd done the same damn thing. Don't beat yourself up, Freckles.

Sawyer: What she do to ya?
Jack: What?
Sawyer: Kate? What she do?
Jack: She didn't do anything.
Sawyer: Riiiight. You yelling at her cause she wanted to help get Mike back makes a lot of sense.
Jack: Why don't you go back and see if I hurt her feelings?
Sawyer: Jus sayin.
Jack: Yeah. I know. You love her.
Sawyer: What you say?

Jack: What are you doing?
Sawyer: I'm coming with ya.
Jack: You're still on antibiotics.
Sawyer: Well, it's a good thing I'm travellin' with my doctor then.

Jack: Is it true that you killed one of them?
Ana Lucia: One of who?
Jack: Them. *Ana Lucia nods head* Sayid tells me that you're a cop.
Ana Lucia: I was a cop.
Jack: Can I ask you something?
Ana Lucia: Shoot.
Jack: How long do you think it would take to train an army?

Jack: Look, you said you wanted to talk. So talk.
Mr. Friendly: Let me ask you something. How long have you been here on the island?
Jack: 50 days.
Mr. Friendly: Oooh, 50 days. That's what, almost 2 months, huh? Tell me, you go over a man's house for the first time, do you take off your shoes? Do you put your feet up on his coffee table? Do you walk in the kitchen, eat food that doesn't belong to you? (he looks at Locke) Open the door to rooms you got no business opening? You know, somebody a whole lot smarter than anybody here once said: "Since the dawn of our species man's been blessed with curiosity". You know the other one about curiosity, don't you, Jack? This is not your island. This is our island. And the only reason you're living on it is because we let you live on it.

Hurley to Charlie: Libby's kinda cute--in a 'I've been terrorized by the Others for 40 days' kind of way.

******

Maternity Leave

Henry: So, which one are you?
Locke: I'm sorry?
Henry: Are you the genius, or are you the guy who always feels like he's living in the shadow of a genius?
Locke: I was never very much into literary analysis.
Henry: I just don't understand why you let the doctor call the shots.
Locke: No one calls the shots. Jack and I make decisions together.
Henry: Right, okay. My mistake.

Eko: You are a prisoner because they are being careful. They are being careful because they believe you are lying.
Henry: Why would I lie? They think I'm one of these others -- other what?

Claire: Your baby -- was it a girl?
Danielle: Yes.
Claire: What was her name?
Danielle: Alex, Alexandra.
Claire: I remember a girl -- a girl with blue eyes. She helped me. She saved me, just like you did. She wasn't like the others. She was good.

Eko: Please stop talking Henry...the first night I spent on this island I was dragged into the jungle by two men. They never spoke a word to me, nor I to them. I killed these men, smashed in their head with a stone, felt their blood on my arms. I need you to know, how sorry I am for this. I need you to know that I am back on righteous path now, and that I regret my actions. I ask you for your forgiveness.
Henry: Why are you telling me this?
Mr. Eko: Because I needed to tell someone.

Claire: Where are you going?
Danielle: You're not the only one that didn't find what they were looking for.

******

The Whole Truth

Jin: Did you know about this before we got married?
Sun: What?
Jin: You must have had some idea.
Sun: Why would I keep something like this from you? Oh, yes. I was trying to trap the son of a fisherman!

Sun: I heard that you have all the medical supplies.
Sawyer: You heard correct.
Sun: May I look through them?
Sawyer: No you may not. But if you'll tell me what you're looking for...
Sun: Forget it.
Sawyer: Okay, hold on. Now I'm intrigued. Tell you what, tell me what you're looking for and it's yours, gratis.
Sun: Can't I just look myself?
Sawyer: It's not a drugstore, sweetheart.

Sun: Why do you care so much about a baby you wouldn't even see?
Jin: Don't blame my work, Sun. I work so we can...
Sun: Work? When a man comes home with blood on his hands that isn't "work."
Jin: And why do you think I come home with blood on my hands? I have blood on my hands because of your father. Because of what he makes me do!

Sayid: You should sleep while you can.
Ana Lucia: Yeah, I can't sleep. People don't like me. I tried to get them to most of my life, but, I guess I just gave up a while back. I mean, I am what I am. But, you, you've got a good reason to hate me. I'm sorry, I'm sorry for what I did.
Sayid: You were trying to protect your people. It wasn't you that killed Shannon, it was them.

Sayid: Does Jack and Locke, know about this?
Ana Lucia: Jack and Locke, are too busy worrying about Locke and Jack.

Sun: How's your book?
Sawyer: Predictable...not nearly enough sex.

Sun: How long is it supposed to take?
Kate: Uh, up to two minutes.
Sun: I'm sorry, I'm just...
Kate: I know. Where did Sawyer find one of these anyway? I mean, who flies with a pregnancy test, right?
Sun: Have you ever taken one?
Kate: Yeah!

******

Dave

Henry: He was dead already. Four months ago I was part of the search party. Henry Gale was hanging out of the basket... neck broken.
Sayid: So he was already dead?
Henry: Yes.
Sayid: Then you buried him and left a grave marker?
Henry: Yes.
*Sayid pulls a 20 dollar bill out of his pocket*
Sayid: You really should have checked his wallet before you did that. I assume Henry Gale did not have any paper on which to compose his thoughts, so he had to improvise. There wasn't much space for that. (reads the bill) "Jennifer, well you were right. Crossing the Pacific isn't easy. I owe you a beer. I'm hiking to one of the beaches to start a signal fire. If you're reading this I guess I didn't make it. I'm sorry. I love you, Jenny. Always have; always will. Yours, Henry." So tell me, how did Henry Gale write a note to his wife with a broken neck?

Hurley: Did anyone see a man run through here in a bathrobe with a coconut?
Charlie: No, I saw a polar bear on roller blades with a mango.

Dr. Brooks: Dave isn't your friend Hugo, because Dave doesn't exist.

Hurley: You're in the hospital! You can't be here!
Dave: Sorry dude. I am here.

Libby: That was a real kiss.
Hurley: Maybe, you should do it one more time, just to make sure.

Libby: Where are you going?
Hurley: Back to the caves. No one lives there anymore so it won't bother anybody. I'm gonna live alone and be one of those guys... you know, the crazy guys... with the big beard and no clothes, naked and throws doo-dee at people.

******

Two for the Road

Michael I found them. After I left, I hiked north, back to where we were, hiked to the beach, followed the shore line. A day later, I saw one.
Locke: What did he look like?
Michael: Dirty, worn clothing, no shoes, simple. Just like the rest of them.
Jack: Like the rest of them?
Michael: Yeah his people, the Others. I followed him back to his camp. They, they live in tents, canvas tents and teepees. They eat dried fish. They're worse off than we are.
Kate: How many of them were there?
Michael: I counted 22.
Jack: And the, the boat?
Michael: I didn't see it.
Jack: Did you see Walt?
Michael: No, but I know he's there.
Ana Lucia: What about everyone else they took? Cindy? Did you see any other kids?
Michael: No, no. No kids, no. But I think they were in the same place as my boy. They have a hatch.
Jack: How do you know that they...
Michael: There's a set of metal doors, leading underground. What else could it be?
Jack: And you think that's where they keep the kids?
Michael: They keep it guarded 24-7 and two guards, two guns. And two guns is all I saw. They're barely armed. Most of them are old and half of them are women. I wanted...I couldn't save him. So I came back to tell you. Tell you that we can take them. As soon as I get my strength back, I will take us back there, and we are gonna get my boy back.

Hurley: Here we are, the most secret beach on the island.
Libby: Hurley this is our beach, there's Jin.

Michael: ...I'm sorry.
Ana-Lucia: For what?
*Michael shoots her*

Ana Lucia: You tell anybody about this, and I'll kill you.
Sawyer: I guess that takes cuddling off the table.

******

Three Minutes

Michael: Jack fill you in on the plan?
Kate: What plan?
Michael: We're leaving first thing tomorrow. Back accross the island to their camp.
Kate: Ok
Michael: What aboout you man? You coming with us?
Hurley: Why would I wanna go?
Michael: Because they killed her.
Kate: Michael. C'mon...
Michael: What do you say Hugo?
Hurley: I'm sorry about Walt dude, but I'm not coming.
Michael: You're sorry about!
Kate: Michael!

Michael: I have to get my son back.
Jack: We're going to help you do that Michael.
Michael: It's got to be the way I said it man. Just the five of us. Other wise it won't work, it won't work.
Jack: I promise, we're going to figure that out.
Michael: No I have already figured it out. It's got to be just the people who already know. You, me, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, that's it. Anybody else... look it puts them in more danger.

Mr. Eko: For a brief time I served in a small parish in England. Every Sunday after Mass, I would see a young boy waiting in the back of the church. And then one day, the boy confessed to me that he had beaten his dog to death with a shovel. He said that the dog had bitten his baby sister on the cheek; and he needed to protect her. And he wanted to know whether he would go to hell for this. I told him that God would understand -- that he would be forgiven, as long as he was sorry. But the boy did not care about forgiveness. He was only afraid that if he did go to hell -- that dog would be there waiting for him.

Michael: Don't be scared, it's gonna be over real soon I'm gonna get you outta here, okay?
Walt: They're not who they say they are.
Ms. Klugh: Walt!
Walt: They're pretending!
Ms. Klugh: You want me to put you in the room again?
Michael: Pretending? Pretending what?
Ms Klugh: That's it we're done.

Sayid: I think Michael has been compromised... *Jack stops walking* Lets keep walkin Jack.
Jack: What do you mean compromised?!
Sayid: His actions are not those of a man who is telling the truth.
Jack: Why would he lie to us?
Sayid: Because I believe a father would do anything for his son, because I believe Michael may have freed Henry & because I believe he's leading you into a trap.
Jack: You believe a lot Sayid.
Sayid: I also believed that Henry was one of them.

Jack: We got caught in a net.
Sawyer: What is that supposed to mean?
Jack: It means, we got caught in a net.
Sawyer: That what they're calling it these days?

******

Live Together, Die Alone

Locke: What if I told you that all those years that you and all the men before you were down there pushing that button... What if I told you it was all for nothing?
Desmond: I'd ask you... How the hell did you know something like that?

Desmond: When did you come here here?
Locke: Sixty...sixty-five days ago.
Desmond: The date, what was the date?
Locke: September 22nd.
*Desmond looks at log sheet of button pushes, which reads system failure on the 22nd of September*
Desmond: I think I crashed your plane.

Jack: So, when you ran off, I guess you forgot to mention that you still had a sailboat. Why did you come back?
Desmond: You think I did it on purpose? I was sailing for 2 and half weeks, bearing due west, makin nine knots, I should have been in Fiji less than a week. But the first piece of land I saw wasnt Fiji, was it? No. No, it was here, this, this island. And you know why? Because this is it! This is all there is left. This ocean and this place here! We are stuck inside of a bloody snow globe! Theres no outside world. Theres no escape. Just go away, let me drink.

Locke: What did one snowman say to the other snowman?
Desmond: Smells like carrots.

Hurley: Did that bird just say my name?
Sawyer: Yeah it did. Right after it crapped gold.

Michael: Who are you people?
Henry Gale: We are the good guys Michael.

Sayid: I don't know what is more disquieting; the fact that the rest of the statue is missing, or that it has four toes.
