What is your take on Strahan breaking the sack record?

Answer:

I was rooting for Michael Strahan to break the regular season sack record. He is one of the most likeable athletes in the NFL, and I am a Giants fan. However, I would have preferred for him to have come up half a sack shy than break the record the way he did. Strahan did nothing wrong, but Brett Favre's actions were disgraceful. Favre rolled out to Strahan's side of the field, the offensive line gave Strahan a free pass, Favre waited for him and then fell to the ground for him. Favre showed absolutuely no respect for the game or the gambling community (surely there was a good amount of money riding on the outcome of the sack record). Since it is against NFL rules to throw a game or any portion of it, Favre should be fined by the league (as well as any offesive linemen who acted with him). As much as I dislike Mark Gastineau (one of the least likeable athletes ever to play in the NFL), I felt sorry for him as he had to gracefully congratulate Strahan, after witnessing the travesty that had robbed him of his legacy.
