Dear Mark,
Ward's spark and quality play last nite propelled the Knicks to a
come-from-behind win over the rockets. Did you hear the game? Are the
Knicks .500 yet? what's up with Jordan? Is he old and bitter yet?
Answer:
Ward did provide a much needed spark off the bench last night, but the
back-up PG job will probably keep going back and forth until either Ward or
Eisley get traded (preferably both).
The Knicks are .500 and in playoff position (positioned for a 1st round
loss). They'd be better off missing the playoffs and getting a lottery pick.
Jordan is as old and bitter as IL Cane. If Barkley returns (depending on
whether or not he can lose 30 pounds playing golf and hanging out at strip
clubs), that will only make the Wizards more embarrassing. The best thing
that could happen to Jordan, the Wizards, and the NBA would be for Jordan to
get traded to a good team. The perfect trade: Jordan to San Antonio for
rookie PG Parker. San Antonio becomes good enough to contend with the
Lakers, and the Wizards get more young talent to go with Kwame, Alexander
and Hamilton.
