I
had three children already (girls), when my afp levels
came back raised after the screening at 16 weeks. At
the 18 wk ultrasound they told me the sex, then told me there
was something wrong with him. I knew someone who'd had
an Anencephalic baby so I knew what it meant. We induced
him two days later. I decided I would wait about 10
years to have another child, but 2 1/2 months later we conceived
again, on Christmas Day. He (Austin) was born on Fathers
Day '96 (Australia).
Postscript:
During 2002 my husband and I decided on a name for our
son, he is now known as Kieran Noah Meert.
