Hi, I
am Karen and I live in the UK with my wonderful partner
"Murat" and my 3 living children Paula, Ashley and
Yasemin. Last September I discovered I was pregnant with
my 4th child. At first it was a bit of a shock but as time
went on I got used to the idea of having another precious
child join our family. On the 9th of January 2002 when I
was 20 weeks pregnant, I was due to have a detailed scan
to check for heart defects as my first born "Paula" was
born with congenital heart disease and had 2 major
lifesaving operations. I had not had a scan before this
date. On the 9th Of January Murat and I were very excited
as we entered the room for our scan.
It all
happened very quickly, one minute I saw my baby moving
about and the next minute the screen was turned away from
me and switched off, my hand was taken by the technician
and we were told that our precious baby was anencephalic.
Boy did my life end there an then! On the 12th January
2002 our precious daughter "Angel" was born to heaven. I
love and miss her so much.
I
am currently 8 weeks pregnant and am due to have a 12 week
in 4 weeks time, I hope and pray to God that this precious
baby is healthy, I am sure that my darling Angel is
watching of us all. |
