Kathy is the dam of Rory's Scotty, Diamond Dawn, Night Delight, Black Pete, Midnight Mister and 2005's Gladys Memory. Kathy is a shy mare, raised by my step-father Angus O'Byrne, whose favorite bay mare of all-time was Kathy's granddam Mayflower Surmount Kathy. Sadly, Angus passed away May of 2005. On the weekend of his funeral, Kathy gave birth to a perfectly marked black filly, of which I am sure Angus chose especially for this mare. It is only right that I dedicate a horse to this very special man who influenced my passion for the Clydesdale breed. The name Gladys was our special nickname for Angus...and so she is just that..Mountain Meadows Gladys Memory. Kathy is once again in foal for 2006. |
