When I was recently in Bethesda, MD for a Navy class I had the opportunity to meet a few members of Congress. The coolest was Representative Patrick Murphy from my district in Pennsylvania. He was in the Army and served in Iraq earlier in the Iraqi Civil War. He is against the current administration's mishandling of the war. He, like other congressional Democrats, wants to give the military a larger pay raise than Bush is willing to give us. It's sad that a lot of people in the military have been brainwashed to think that the Republicans actually give a shit about us when they vote to keep us involved in a civil war and give us crappier pay raises, while the Democrats want us home and better paid.... Ken Calvert had just got off the phone with Karl Rove, but took the time for a picture. He was nice, but the furthest from me ideologically.
