Day 21 As The Rat Turns! The scene opens on a bright and clear Wednesday morning overlooking the tribal room of the newly formed Arashi Tribe. My, my...look at all the faces. Some are smiling, some are frowning and some are just simply staring vacantly into space with a blank look behind their eyes. Hmmm...maybe they haven't woken up yet. Annie walks around with a strong pot of coffee offering it to everyone. "Hey, how ya doing. Nice to see you. Nice bed hair. Want some coffee? No, I don't have any latte. No, I don't have any scrambled eggs...geesh." Man, these people. :) For those new subscribers (whether you knew it or not) out there, this is the almost daily version of As The Rat Turns. My poor, pathetic humorous attempt of trying to bring people a little closer together. (plus earn Rat points). Speaking of Rat Points, Sam. Do they apply anymore? Will we be collecting these on an individual basis instead of a tribe basis now? So, kids, what shall we talk about? (waits patiently for a response. hmmm..the room gets suddenly quiet). Alrighty then, I'll start. I'm Annie obviously. I think I'm the oldest from the former 'Pox' tribe with Dave running a close second. I'm probably the most talkative. Not that I have anything of great importance to say. I just spew out whatever is in my head at the time. Sometimes a lengthy story and sometimes a poem. Just tell me to shut up whenever, k? See you all around the "island" Dave I agree with Annie wholeheartedly on Trudi being the first we get out. She is a tough player and very devious. I will share a brief story. I was in a survivor game with her on the other tribe. It was 4 teams of 8. My tribe was a lot like this one. Very powerful and we hit the first merge with 7 left. She orchestrated an anti-Petty campaign that was very succesful. She manipulated some of our members and her only goal was to take all 7 of us out before the end. It was like her and this other guy had a real personal vendetta and took great joy in knocking us off one by one. Be very careful in conversations with her and even if we don't stick together all the way through, let's get her off first. I hope that we can all maintain our alliance long enough to just have Unavox people at the end. And I want to apologize in advance for any "going cannibal" on you guys. At some point, there is no other choice but for now, let's stay loyal to this group. Annie, no problems here with Jon's words. I realize and I am sure the rest do that those are just sour grapes and no reflection on you. As far as I am concerned you are a part of our team and we can move forward from here. Greg, great idea on copying us in on conversations with the Sanguis people. Let's all try to remember to do that. That way there are no surprises. Got to go but we can all talk later. Dave Hey Greg and all, I agree that it is important to keep our guard up. We can say one thing in messages to the whole group, something else that includes Annie, and the whole truth within this group. Just take care to send the right messages to the right group. :-) I have almost slipped up and sent the wrong message. That would be embarassing. I agree that we should feel out the Sanguis people and try to gather what information we can. If the five of us stick together and go after Trudi or whoever the first vote, we will have a real good idea of where Annie stand. If the vote is 6-4 then we will know she is with us. If something else, then that should give us some clues but at the very least we will have a 5-5 tie and the only concern I have is that they might know that Leon has votes against him. If they use that for a tiebreaker we could be in trouble. I don't think that any of the remaining Sanguis has a lot of votes against them so we really need to try to get Annie to vote with is. It would be great to find out who on their tribe has votes against them but they would probably lie to get us to vote against the wrong person so be very careful in believing what they say. I agree with Javier that we are still a strong unit of 5 and can get through to the end if we stick together. The first vote will be the toughest. God, I love this stuff!! So many possibilities. I hope that we can talk a lot in the next couple of days and have a solid game plan before the first council. A lot of it will depend on immunity. One possibility would be for us to try to help Leon win immunity. Yeah! That would eliminate that concern. If they can't vote him off, then we should be alright. Who is next with votes? Laura with 2? I agree that it would not be in her best interest to piss us off as far as winning but she might be thinking it is better to take her chances in the final two than get cut out after all the Sanguis people. If we take Greg, that leaves you and Trudy as a possible team against Annie or I. If we take Trudy that leaves you alone against the three of us. But that is the plan. To have the three of us the last ones in. I would be concerned about Trudy being in a position of power because of previous games with her but I can talk to Annie about it and work the angles. We just need to get ONE Sanguis out then we are in great shape. The key questions are: 1. Do we think Sanguis will all vote the same? They must be close by this point and it seems likely but you never know. They could have a disagreement and vote 2-2 or something. 2. Is there any chance of convincing Annie to vote with us in the future? If not, then we should try to get her off now. That would give us our best chance for the rest of the game. She is definitely the wild card here. 3. How many of the rest of us have votes against us? With your votes diluted between me and my former tribe mate, the person we targeted could be the one voted off. If that's the case, then she's a pretty weak person if she can't take the time to judge a person for herself. I had the feeling that I would have been sacrificed early on after Sanguis had the upper hand. Just a feeling and we will never know but......... As for your offer, I am conflicted. I think I am on the weak side of things as they stand now. As far as who is plotting, I would say Greg is the most likely to be working the angles. I can't say for the others. They might all have me fooled but that is my take on things now. I would be surprised if Greg would go into an alliance with you and someone else. Tomorrow evening will work for me too. dave hello there dave, greg, leon and sam, regarding the upcoming challenge, first of all, i don't know how to play reversi. i have that game on my mobile phone, but i never play it, and if i do...i always do not win. anyway, aside from that, i have been pretty busy with school the past week. i havent had any sleep since sunday night due to finishing some projects i have had to submit today. i have to make 3 projects... (thanks to the logo challenge, i finally got to really use my photoshop, and got addicted to it... making all my projects using photomanipulations) im just learning thats why its taking me long to finish the project. i was only able to finish one. and have two more to go. which means that i cannot play for this particular challenge. i want to take a rest for awhile, its taking a toll on my body, i've been feeling very weak and nauseaus all day... i even found myself waking up on the floor! and my eyes were hurting from being infront of the computer so much. i feel like there's something in my eye...everytime i touch it it hurts. i do hope you all understand, i guess Leon wins (by default)in our game... but then again, even if i get the chance to play it. he still would win...cause i dont know how to play it. hopefully this weekend, i'll be able to breathe ...
