I really don't think it's wise to give the other tribe members the impression we're taking over this early in the game by jumping on this before they've had a chance to respond. Kenny Sam Today was a busy day... Loslos has started getting to know each other. Debra, theresa and I were online most of the day. Tonight Paul and Darren checked in. I think Wally checked in once. Theresa suggested us setting up a Yahoo List for us all to communicate on. I suggested a couple of names, using an 'island' idea, but Loslos Lagoon seems to have caught on with others. Getting to know everyone isn't that easy at this point. Debra, Theresa and I chatted a lot, but all three of us ran into computer problems all day so we kept getting interupted... The others have only barely checked in. I have chatted very briefly with Darren. Laura and Phyl (is that Phyllip or Phylis?) still haven't shown up... Makes them vulnerable, especially since we all know that not being at Tribal Council will mean we cast a vote for ourselves. That means that right now, Laura and Phyl will each have avote against them, therfore making it easier to convince others to vote them out. Besides, ppl not participating are not making the game interesting. That is Loslos Day 1, or is it 2? who knows... Do you have an answer for me yet about Friday's tribal council? Thanks, Rick Sam as far as the game goes, it appears that Kenny, Sherry, and I have an alliance. I think I scored some initial points w/ them and everyone else by coming up w/ the idea for a yahoo group. My only worry w/ Sherry is that she seems pushy at times. That might annoy some people later in the game. I don't want to be like Dave after Roger got voted out. My worry w/ Kenny is that he bonded first w/ Sherry. He may feel more loyalty towards her. I'll need to keep my options open as well as my eyes and hears. I'll try to keep communication open w/ everyone but as of today my core alliance will be w/ Kenny and Sherry. I've been chatting w/ Adam as well. I told him he should email you because he's going away this weekend. I want him to think that I have his back. He could be useful if I gain his trust. He seems like a nice kid but I'd like to string him along like Robb did w/ Matt in the beginning of last Survivor. On another note, I noticed that Chris and Adam are 17. also, I noticed that Zora is 22 and very attractive in her picture. I'm worried that Zora could wrap the young men around her finger. Spoke a little to Paul and Darren both today....everyone seems to be leaning toward Phyl to vote out since he hasn't shown up. The vote for Phyl seems to be solidifying thru out the day. Talked to Rick for quite a while late night....He's very nice and is really into this game! We even have the same taste in books....we're reading the same series. Darren and I also spoke for awhile.....we talked about games he's been in in the past and the fact that he's been in one of your games before. He said you might shake things up a bit soon, but stirring up the tribes.....Interesting! That would certainly mess around with an alliances anyone is trying to build. She sent out a get to know you questionnaire....it was really kind of fun and interesting to read the responses from Theresa and Rick! Theresa, Rick and I were the only ones that answered so far tho. Seems like I have more in common with Rick than Theresa. Rick opened a coffee cafe for us.....only a few takers tho.....He also posted some polls to vote in....that reminds me, I need to go vote on them LOL! Talked a little to Rick today, he's apparently working on hosting his own game! Might have to apply for that one too! Laura checked in a couple times once with me directly today. Seems like a few of us, at least, have already voted. About time to turn in........not much happening today. Night Sam! ~Debra Sam, Thank you for the clarification - I truly am paranoid of the 'host' after the last game I played. I will take the next step and TRUST you. I do hope I won't be proved wrong... here is what IS REALLY going on - Deb and I played a Survivor game together and were allied in that game and our alliance worked, except for the host targeting us, as I mentioned before. I did not want that to happen again. from the very moment I received your first email, Deb and I have been allied again. I immediatly emailed her and she agreed to 'renew' our alliance. We realized the need to bring someone else into it though to 'broaden' our vote base. We agreed on Theresa since she was the most active and from chats with her, we both realized she was playing the game a little harder than any of the others and we wanted her 'with us' rather than against us. So, Deb, Theresa and I have a "Final 3" alliance. Theresa does NOT know about the previous alliance between Deb and I. The three of us then decided to even further broaden our base by adding a 4th and 5th to strengthen us in the case of the merge. The strategy that we 3 have had was to get our 'group' together, which at this point has expanded to Darren for sure. Deb is trying to contact Wally who has been unheard of since day 1. Theresa is trying to work on Paul. and I am working with getting Laura active. The one that proves to be most active will become our 'merge 5th' member. We then realized that we couldn't play our hand to quickly and allowed everyone to think that voting out Phyl was their idea. Darren has played a game with him before and he spoke very poorly of him and suggested we vote him out. Paul was very upset that Phyl hadn't even checked in and wanted to vote him out. Deb, T and I then let both of them think that it was their respective idea that we vote out Phyl first. That is where we are at now. Who knows where we will go from here. I try not to tell either one of them "Everything" even though I probably have been telling them both a little too much about strategy. Basically, it appears that Adam, Zora, and Chris really haven't been talking to anyone. Zora has only spoken w/ Kenny and I. Chris has only spoken w/ me. Adam has really only spoken w/ Sherry and me. That's part of my plan. I want everyone to think of me as an ally and someone they come to for each vote. Right now, it appears that kenny, sherry, and I are pulling the strings in this tribe. Camp has become our central area of socialization, so he's missing a lot by not being there. Without challenges, socializing and communication are paramount, so I don't think he deserves to be in the game if he isn't going to keep in touch. What is going on in the game: Camp seems to be pretty lively. We're uploading photos and recipes and getting to know each other. In conversation with other tribe members, there seems to be a consensus that Westlee should go because of his lack of participation. I continue to communicate often with Deb and Rick through IM's and with Darren, Paul & Laura through emails and the camp site. Just trying to be friendly to all at this point - I like my tribe mates. The all seem like smart, nice people - any of whom I'd be glad to be friends with on the 'outside'. But behind the curtain there was scheming and alliance forming being done. There seemed to be two major alliances going on, one of which was headed mainly by gary and sherry and the other by Kenny and Zora. With all the alliance switching there seems to be uncertainty about anybodies place in any alliance! im on schnell tribe my vote is for GARY because he and sherry and chris whom i had not even talked to till tuesday were gonna all vote for zora.. well as u know i have an alliance with her and besides shes very hot hehe and so it kinda got me worried that gary was gonna use chris and sherry to vote me out after zora if need be.. i just couldnt be sure where they stand after hearing that.. so i told chris about garys plan to string him along which he didnt like hehe and so now he is with me and zora and even adam now i think..so im running things here .. its a nice feeling..gary is way too strong a player,, hes frickin allways bringing up new scenerios for us to contemplate,,thats scary,. cant keep him;..im hoping that he goes too as it would be worse for him to stay after this ... loll so im waiting to send it in intentionally later.. just hope we can find some disenchanted ppl on the other tribe, boi gary is gonne b shocked..lol and he will know who did it.. anyways least till we merge me and chris and adam, and zora can strut around camp heheh showing our new power.. lol and sherry will have to be good .. lol.. i just couldnt allow her to be in the middel between adam and zora and me and then maybe going to chris and gary side.. u see? so now she only has one choice left.lol take care sam,. give us plenty of extra points for all our work of pics and flags and the club..and stuff ok? I feel a real friendship has formed with Rick and Deb - and Laura and I have been talking about our kids who are the same ages/sexes. So it seems I have something in common with these folks. Kenny made a potentially fatal blunder and thought I was betraying him for an alliance with Chris. Terrible move - shows he panicks and that he can't really be trusted. I was stringing Chris along this past week. I wanted Chris to think he still had "options" within this tribe in case he was voted out 5 to 1 and we won the challenge. I feared a defection to the other tribe. I was almost burned for looking too far ahead. Kenny misinterpreted my intentions and Chris likely found out I was lying to him and decided to vote me out. Fortunately, I survived the tiebreaker. What's happening now? Zora has discovered that Kenny has been lying to her. Zora greatly distrusts Kenny. So does Adam. I think Zora and Adam have an alliance. Kenny is scrambling and feeling desparate. Gary Sam On our side, it seems that our group of 5 (Deb, T, Darren, Laura and myself) seem to be trying to figure out how to smooth things over with Paul. At the time, some tribe members - and no i won't name names - were concerned that your time zone difference could be detrimental during a merge. That might be their 'reason'. Personally, I voted for you because I had made a promise to another tribe member that I would vote the same way until the merge. While I didn't have any similar promises made to you, I still felt bad about it because I like you. That's truly the only 'reason' I can give you for the way I voted. I know it wasn't an easy vote for me in the least, and I'm pretty sure others feel the same way. It's not that we want you gone. In my case, it was the lesser of 2 evils - vote off someone I like or break a promise. I don't break promises, so there really was no other choice.
