Baptist Faith and Belief
In brief, we believe:
- That God is the Creator of the universe
- That He created man to have fellowship with Him
- That God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, the repair the broken relationship between God and man, which is the result of man's sin
- That Jesus Christ, who was fully God and fully human, came to earth, preached and taught among the people, died by crucifixion on Mount Calvary, was ressurrected on the third day, and ascended into heaven, where He lives today
- That salvation is a gift of God and may be received by belief in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, by accepting Him as one's personal Savior and by repentence of sin
- That baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward decision to follow Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior
- That salvation comes from faith but that faith without works is dead
- That Christ will return to earth a second time and that those Believers will rise up with Him into heaven to live into Eternity
