June 2, 2003 home is not always sweet; it may be real and necessary but not always wellcoming! may be i would prefer the devine independence and matrix styled free minded oberlin. i am not really having a great time here this time :( not anyone's fault. it's me..my fault..is it really a fault? i miss my babies Loren and Anne! I love you guys! at least i have a little job here now.. May 28, 2003 2 more weeks before summer break.. quite a busy time. one weekend we slept out in the arboratum, we bumped into a bunch of drunk obies in there! but they left after a while. it was fun! what else did we do? hm..mm.....once we went to 50s Special meal in Harkness (everyone dressed up in 50s style) with Loren, saw a stupid movie in Apollo Phonebooth, oh.. me, trish and sharik went to SASA senior banquet in desi clothing yesterday. i wore kamij! yummy food! AND drew a nude dude! Apr 28, 2003 crazy ass Drag ball last night in wilder..i dressed like a mexican dude..loren looked so pretty in his red dress and makeup and hair do, its not even funny. the show was crazy with contestants and performs. they are done so well, you cant tell what gender except the fact that since it's a dude, it must be a girl in real life. sometimes quite vulger cuz they were extreme in their disguise. Apr 6, 2003 got back from Spring break yesterday evening i went to Raleigh, North Carolina for habitat for humanity, total of 13 Oberlin students, slept in sleeping bags in Capital city Church, cooked dinner there in groups or went to Mi Pueblo or Ten Ten restaurants. Once we were invited by a baptist church for dinner..i really liked that event. we worked everyday from 9am to 4pm with an hour lunch break. i worked in decking, staircase, trimming inside and outside and priming in two houses..it was kinda hard and i got some sun on my arms and face..but i LOVE it! sauna, shower in YMCA..a gym. on Monday we went to the closest beach in Wilmington..i'm horrible in swimming in there and water was so cold! but it was really fun! NC is warm..i didn't use the jacket i took for in case imergencies. we reached there on last sunday night [in 2 mini vans]. at night we went out for shopping, once to an Open Mic, played taboo or cards, read books or just slept. on 30th saturday night at 3am we started out for oberlin. it took 12 hours to get there but this time we missed some turns and ended up stuck in snow storm in Jefferson National Forest mountain in Virginia... our van slipped to the shallow edge.no other moving organism in sight..freezing cold!! we were stuck for about an hour when a snow truck helped us out. quite an adventure! at last it took 16 hours! overall trip was extra awesome with 2 of my cool friends Loren and Trish!! right now Paul Simon, Garfunkel and John Prine are rocking my world. Mar 31, 2003 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRISH!! Mar 21, 2003 The X Day Bush started bombing Iraq last night after the 48 hours deadline period!! We had our National Student Walkout today at noon!! had a rally at Tappan Square...2000 people showed up!! then we (667 people) marched towards Oberlin Middle School and High School. At 2pm we prayed to God for peace in Iraq and everywhere else. I said my prayer at front with rest of muslims in Wilder Bowl under the open sky! It was amazing. had a test at 2:40..piano and also another one at 9 in the morning for Theater..but not going for the Econ test. so yeah i still had total of 3 tests! went for a candle vigil for peace at 8:30 in tappan sq. We want PEACE..we want it NOW War can't stop war...hate can't stop hate Mar 20, 2003 its 2 in the morning now!! going to bed after this thingy....i went to Cleveland with my group to petition for Clean Air Act. we did quite well! guess what? no one petitioned off campus before! so yeah...its cool! i'm relived that this plan worked quite well...after that we saw 'Chicago', the musical movie at Tower City mall. even though the plot is bad, the production and choreography is really good. we went to a mardi gras party with live cajun song later tonight. Mar 9, 2003 its 3:30 in the morning and i'm going to take a quiz for theater. after that econ 20 pgs of problem set and oh yeah i have a test tomorrow in piano. made 2 simple banners today for my upcoming Cleveland event. had 2 days of phone banking on the last monday and tuesday to recruit ppl. Mar 5, 2003 believe it or not, i actually strained my tendants by playing badminton! i know its really funny cuz badminton is one of those games where you rarely strain your muscle. well i was playing bare foot for 2 hours! so yeah...was hurting like hell while walking. now i have to wear a cast shoe for 2 weeks.. Mar 4, 2003 so yeah..swing dancing with a bunch of friends at 2 in the morning in my room after an intensive yesterday really worked like a therapy ^ ^ other than that, what's taking most of my time is Grassroot Organization of OhioPIRG. I'm an intern there working for The Earth Day campaign...doing something like saving and protecting the environment and bunch of those...for some reason I was made the Coalition Coordinator (responsible for off-campus events)! so far my semester long schedule for the earth day..will be upgraded at least once a week!! wow...sounds like a plan! btw I just 'photoshopified' Loren. doesn't he look like a girl or at least like Lagolas? Feb 18, 2003 yup...that's him....that's so him Feb 16, 2003 class started yesterday..seemed intersting. hope these work out for me! oh i published this Barbara Kruger album.. these are my favorits. Feb 4, 2003 so far i registered for the following courses for Spring '03 ETHN 100 Intro to Music of the World. MWF 11-11:50am THEA 101 Fundamentals of Technical Theater. Tu.Thu 9-9:50am APST 101 Beginning Piano. Tu.Thu 2-2:50pm Econ 101 Intro to Political Economy. Tu.Thu 3-4:15pm Internship with OhioPIRG Exco- badminton and for some reason..one click to my weekly routine. Last semester i took: Words that matter (seminar on English), Physics, Art visual concept- drawing and OSHIT (juggling Exco) Jan.31, 2003 FAQ. can this be MORE pathetic? ended up writting an 11 pages paper on my winter term project. don't be surprised...pretty much snatched from world book and stuff.. Jan.30, 2003 Winter term project isn't going very smoothly..i should've read 4-5 books on it but ain't i in a break here!!? furthermore internet is lot more easier and time saving!! let's see what i can do..so far i wrote an easy paper on WWII for a peek...and i'm supposed to research it?? what was i thinking!? By the way..i think this little gallery of NYU is quite good..well i'm more interested in aspiring works in schools than works of dead legends. yup i'm pretty good at frittering away my time...
