Kouyama Mitsuki is 12 years old. She wants to be a singer because a boy, Eichi, told her that he loved her two years ago when he left for the United States. He told her that when they meet again, they would be closer to their dreams: for him, an astronomer and for her, a singer. Even though she has a tumor in her throat and shouldn't sing, she auditioned for Seeds Records. She can't get out of the house because her grandmother is very strict. While she is in her room contemplating on how to sneak out to the audition, she sees two Shinigami come through the wall (normally people can't see them). They tell her that she has 1 year left to live (because she refuses to have surgery on the tumor for she won't be able to sing after the surgery). Mitsuki is even more determined to go to the audition and sneaks out of the house. At the audition, she begs one of the Shinigami, Takuto, to make her look 16 (because that's the age she put on her application), and he does. Mitsuki passes the audition and is going to be debuted as Full Moon. Full Moon wo Sagashite is the newest anime/manga series by Tanemura Arina (also: Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Time Stranger Kyoko).
