================================================
This list is only partial. There are many more frequencies for the area. It would take too long to list all of them. However, I have been doing massive research and I have 99.5% of all (legal) frequencies on file. If you live in the area and have trouble finding a frequency, please e mail me at [email protected] and I will e mail the frequencie(s) to you! No threats or whining though because I have most of the frequencies in town. They are all legal and can be found in the fcc data base. I have just compiled all the info. They only reason why I state this is: because i had some whacko try to do this before. If anyone dont like it too bad and get a life! Good luck with the frequencies. Best regards, Martin

Scanning is another Hobby of mine. It is a very rewarding hobby. You are always in the know about whats going on in your area.Depending on your skill and equipment,you are able to monitor just about anything on the airwaves that is not encrypted.However its a hobby thats to be enjoyed with caution! Some people arent exactly "Amped" about the idea that we can monitor their communication(s) Police etc.. But as long as you have a unmodified "FCC type accepted"  (UH, there's that WORD again)  receiver and obey the local rules on mobile use etc.There is not a darn thing they can do.remember: Unless scanning is outright illegal in your state, you have every right to own one and use it, as long its not used in "futherance of a crime"  you have every right to use it remember that. Also inform yourself via internet on mobile use in your state. Lastly, never EVER go to the scene of a crime or the action! They can and will bust you bigtime, if they find out its due to scanner use. Especially if it interferes with any of their operations. However not all situations are created equal and  at least if you are going to do it, dont be stupid and get caught, or say you are there cause you heard it on your scanner. Thats all I'll say. Anyway.. you can be sure that there is alot of interesting stuff to be heard. Some of the crazy things I heard over my scanner are probably almost unbelievable. Especially on the police frequencies. Once one has learned the basics of where the frequencies are, how their receiver works and some of the local police codes, a scanner can be more entertaining than watching TV. Its the local news as they happen,uncensored and unchanged. So grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair and enjoy!!  I can recommend scanning to anyone, not just radio nuts. Its a very informational device to have. I love my scanners. I have my  scanner on every night, when I come home from work, until I go to bed. Scanners are a must for any radio enthusiast. I feel scanning is still the most interesting aspect of my ever growing radio comms hobby. So, to one and all: SCAN ON!! Its your good right to do so.
Update: From what I recently learned you have special privileges as far as using scanners goes if you hold ANY Amateur Radio licence! Especially the mobile use laws in certain U.S. states will not apply to any Ham Radio licence holder!! Thats right you will be exempt and have every right to use a scanner in a vehicle! Theres nothin the police can do. So one more reason get your Ticket!! Remember technician class only requires a 35 question written (multiple choice) test with a little practice it should be pretty easy for most anybody.Look up my links page for a site that has pratice exams you may take for free, right over the internet!.  73, de KD7RGC Martin
