Leg Rest

Remove two bolts (8 mm hex head by long) that retain the backing plate.

Remove two Phillips screws (1 long) that retain the handle

The leg rest fabric is stapled on.  Observe how the ends are folded over and do your best to duplicate when putting on the new cover.  I used an electric stapler with staples to attach the fabric.

Use an awl to mark the holes for the handle screws upon reassembly.  Attach the handle  and bolt the backing plate back on.

Seat Back

Open the zipper on the bottom of the cover.

Remove the four hog rings on the left and right (two per side).

Remove the two large vertical rods.

Start peeling the seat cover up, turning it inside out as you go.

Remove the middle cross pin that is held in place under the vertical rods.

Peel the cover back until you come to the top cross pin.

Cut the three hog rings and remove the top cross pin.

Remove the headrest by lifting up the detent clip with a screwdriver.  Put the headrest aside, as it will be the last thing you reinstall.

Remove the old cover.

You will need to prep the new cover by opening up the rod and pin pockets to match the factory cover, as they may be sewn shut.

Turn the cover inside out and start installing it over the top of the seat back, rolling it down as you go.

Install the top cross pin and three hog rings

Roll the cover down and put the middle cross pin in place.

Roll the cover the rest of the way down and install the two vertical rods and hog rings.

Reach up under the cover and make sure the middle pin is under the vertical rods then zip up the cover.  Zip it up over the seatback release lever, we will get that next.

Cut a rectangle out of the cover for the seat back release lever.  Reinstall the seat back release lever trim and screw.

Cut a slice in the top of the cover for the headrest.  Compare the slice that was made in the factory cover and feel the top of the seat back for the hole before you make the incision.  Reinstall the headrest.

You are now to the point that you can put together the seat assembly.
