The Patterson Mountain ORV area is located outside Eagle Rock, Virginia. From Roanoke, drive north on HW 220 through Fincastle. Twelve miles past Eagle Rock, go west on Route 615. After approximately one mile, turn left onto Route 818 and travel approximately two miles to Forest Road 5020. Signs lead to the trail.

The area has about 16 miles of two track for ATVs and dirt bikes

Primitive, dispersed camping is available.
Requirements
Helmets are mandatory. No riders under the age of 12 allowed; riders between the ages of 12 and 16 are restricted to vehicles between 70cc and 90cc displacement
Fees
None.
Times of Operation
Open dawn to dusk, June 16 through September 30 and December 8 through March 15.
