
Riders are lining up and getting their introductions....another big pileup at turn one....Ferry gets the lead...it was impossible for this reporter to tell you who got the 1-900-PRO-RACE money...Carmichael takes the lead, Roncada second, Ferry third now at the end of lap one...Neese fourth, Sellards, Currie, Carsten follow...Bogard goes down...still Carmichael leads, followed by Roncada, Ferry, Neese...Sellards now moves past Neese...Roncada has his eye on first, not far behind Carmichael...Greg Schnell moving quickly up through the pack after getting involved in the first-turn pileup...now up to twelfth....Carmichael staying in the control...Deegan and James Evans tangle and lock up near start/finish....they're back up and underway....the top five are staying steady and stringing out...Schnell is moving up still, taking Jeff Dement with him in his charge...he's now ninth, headed for eighth, he's got eighth! Paul Currie just took Jim Neese for fifth....Lap eight...Carmichael, Roncada, Ferry, Sellards, Currie, Neese, Carsten, and here comes Schnell...Ferry now right on Roncada's rear knobby...all Ferry needs is seventh to win the Estern Regional championship...my spotters see a possible flat on Roncada's bike...maybe, maybe not....Roncada has picked up the pace again, now has some breathing room...Carmichael is in another zip code at the moment...his lead is enormous....lap 10....Carmichael...Roncada, Ferry, Sellards, Currie....Now Ferry makes the pass on Roncada! Ferry is riding hard with all the pressure of the championship on him...the hard-charging Greg Schnell has made it up to sixth...Roncada steals back his position on Ferry, but Ferry is racing him hard...three laps to go now...Schnell has moved into fifth...what a charge by the kid from Rancho Cucamonga, CA....Ferry still trailing Roncada...White flag will be out for Ricky Carmichael this time around....Currie goes down on the front straight, he's up and OK...Carmichael making the crowd crazy with clickers on the triples.....Here he comes...CARMICHAEL WINS!....Ferry will win the Championship!
