This engine is not available anymore. I think Volkswagen stopped offering it in either 1994 or 1995. It was the engine that appeared on the Golf CL, which Volkswagen decided to stop producing. This engine probably delivered really good fuel economy.

This engine is available on all Jetta's except the TDI and GLX. It's much better than the one above. I really would like to see Volkswagen put a little more power in it. I mean a Neon could beat a Jetta in a race unless that Jetta is a GLX.

And this, is the VR6 engine. Available only in the Jetta GLX and Golf GTI VR6, it is the most powerful engine available on current Volkswagens. Once my dealership gave me a 1997 Passat GLX (It has the VR6 engine) courtesy car because my Jetta was in a big accident. Anyways, the VR6 was silent and it really fely powerful. Of only it had 200 horsepower. Then I would be really happy.

This diesel is not available anymore. It has been replaced by the TDI. This engine is really underpowered and thank god Volkswagen made the TDI.

This is the TDI engine. Probably the best Volkswagen diesel engine ever made. it's a big improvement over the older one. Volkswagen, congradulations.
