beautiful car. I have a 97 30th anniversary, wanted an SS, but it was gone when I got my loan togther. Oops. I would definately suggest a tint job on the back window. They have new tint materials that are heat-shrink, and a good tinter can do it one-piece without wrinkles or seams. Cooler in summer, warmer in winter, saves your interior, and would look fantastic on that black SS. Cheers to ya Troy Los Angeles

Get a real Camaro, I have a 1970 that Ive owned since 1973. Extreamly reliable and has never been towed. This a a daily driver and has over 300,000 miles. I have a '87 IROC 5.7, but prefer to drive the '70 which also has a kickass stereo. The AMPS are mou ted on the steel panel behind the rear seat. Lots of head turning power! Oh yea... Hi, I have a 69 SS/RS which came from France. It was built by GM in the states and shipped over seas for sale. I bought it from a third party to the owner here in Connecticut. Mike, that Camaro is awesome!!! I am 19 years old and have already had a 93, and 94, Z28. I loved both of them, but now I am setting my sights on a 97 SS, just like yours. In fact, that is exactly what I am looking for. Black, six speed, and bad to the bo e. I grew up on Camaro's. My dad had a 69 SS 396 four speed, and the Bowtie torch was passed to me. I will be able to by my next Camaro within the next couple of months. Both of my other Camaro's were 6 speed's, and I will settle for nothing less. Your ri ht, they are the last thing a Mustang wants to see. I like the new 98' and up body style, but the 93 to 97 fronts just look more aggressive to me. I recently swapped a Honda 4-cylinder in to my 99 camaro ss! I think it is much better than the stock crappy LS-1. 1.8L is way better than 5.7L. It boasts 121hp and 109lbs/ft!!!! it runs 16.54 at 63.5mp/h through the quater mile! I also have a Jenson D player with a 900 Watt amp HELL YEAH! All my friends with hondas hate me but I just had to stay with the good ole' american muscle.

I really enjoyed your page, and aweing at your car. I am 15, and I live in Wichita, KS, where I've only seen a few SS's around. I have an '84 Toyota Supra, and the other day on my way back from McDonalds and SS pulled onto the street that looked exactly like yours, except whenever I tried to catch up to get a good glimpse, the lady in the car (on a cell phone) got so far ahead of me I wanted to cry, but after going 76 mph in a 40, I finally caught up to see the interior, and a Camaro SS is a dream to me, a car I'd love to own in the future. My step-dad Mike has a '94 Trans-am, and it's got an Lt1 too, but it's hp is around 290 I think, but a six speed Camaro is far better. At school I have friends with all kinds of Camaros, one has a turquoise '83 z-28 ith a 350 dropped in, another, and '83 Berlinetta, an 88 regular, another '86 6 cyl. As a group, we are trying to establish a "Camaro Club" for everyone at school who owns a Camaro. The fastest Camaro there is at school is an 80's RS with a 305, and TPI and painted a primer color, very nice, my little Supra doesn't keep up with most of them, but I can still dream, right? The car I promise myself to work and get is a Viper, definitely. Well from what i can tell musclecars of the 60's and 70's were built in fac ories to.. Just because some people dont have the talents like others to build cars,they should still be able to enjoy american muscle without any hassle. I purchased my first cammaro last month awesome car. It's a 2000 SS complete with every thing possible the color is pewter couldn't wait for a convertible and wasn't sure I would be succesfull in finding a car I would like as much if I passed on this one! Killer car. I am thinking about getting a current F-car myself, with the six speed and 5.7liter of course. If I can afford the SS package, I would like to do that as well. My only concern is that these cars have not been selling well lately, and last I he rd, GM wanted to convert the St. Therese plant to sport utility production. Hopefully it will be around for a few more years. I just can't believe that people would rather have a Mustang or a Civic with a huge exhaust system (that makes the four banger so nd like a pissed off bumble bee)over a car that costs in the mid twenties and will smoke anything this side of a Vette.

great car lots of money spent im sure, but being a racer myself if all you said is true then you should be in the 11's or even 10' not in the 13's i think you would benefit from a racing practice tree from jegs or summit because you seem to be missing a l t of shifts but good luck and remember practice makes perfect
