Hi Mike!!! I love your site and I love your car. I used to have a 1975 Camaro LT which was loaded and ready for action with dual carbs and exhaust,headers,etc..8 cylinders ready to roll. I had personalized plate that said 1DEAD1 which for some reason people always thought it meant I ran people over or something. Unfortunatly, thanks to the ARIZONA COPS I eventualy had to sell it due to the fact that most of the counties in the state knew my car and just loved to give me tickets. I just retired after 31 years in the Chevrolet field organization. In 1967 I went to work in the Chevrolet Buffalo Zone in the Distribution Department. In the Spring of 1968 we got a call from Detroit asking for 6 orders for something called a Z-28 Camaro We covered 180 dealers and just got enough orders. It was the same story the following month. The third month the Camaros from the first month were starting to arrive at the dealerships. We were flooded with orders and a star was born. Its been a great ca . I got to drive a bunch of them as company cars but there was a lime green 1970 Z-28 with a M-21 transmission and 4.10 gears which will always be my favorite. Take Care! Mike
