I am also the proud owner of a 1997 camaro ss, I purchased it brand new. It is also a 30 th. anniv. model,but also silver edition. Come to find out from slp,(around the corner from my house) that there were only 500 silver ones made that year, and not of ered in 1996, the bottom line is I like yourself love my car and enjoy spanking cars in my class, except the viper gts, I need your advise on what you recommend I do so that I can kill that car in a race but still mantaining stock look cosmetically outsid /inside/and under the hood. if you can help I change my license plate to VPR ETR. thanks Mike, MaySSum

Great car!!! Hopefully I'll be ordering my '99 SS by the middle of Dec.(Red, six speed, T-tops). My first car was an '84 Camaro and I miss it like crazy. I went to high school in Downingtown and didn't realize what an asset we had having a 1/4 mile drag strip so close. Down here we have to resort to racing(legally anyway) on a temp. closed taxiway at the airport ONCE A YEAR!! Very depressing. Anyway great car, hopefully I'll join the club soon.

Nice car...I am the owner of a 98 Mustang GT, so you can imagine how much I envy the horsepower your SS has. I have always admired Chevrolet for the horsepower and performance they put into their cars. Corvettes, Camaros, and even Cavalier Z24's, which ave just as much HP as a V6 Mustang, all are greatly produced engines. I am a true and blue Ford fan, (i love my satng) but I am not going to sit here and say "my car could whoop yours any day," simply because I know it can't. So I gotta give credit wh re it due to Chevy and the Camaro. Too bad its going out of production! Ha ha.
