My name is Mike Glick, I
live in East Petersburg
Pa. with my 17 year old son Aaron. I have had a love
affair with Camaros since I was in high school, many
years ago. The very first car that I bought upon
graduating was a 69 SS 350. A few years later I
traded that one
in on a 72 SS 396. So as you can see the first two
cars that I owned were Camaros, I guess you could say
that I was hooked
Eventually a series of unforseen circumstances,
some of which were beyond my control, some of which
weren't, conspired to lead me away from my beloved
Camaros. And into a ten year drug and alcohol
addiction. With perserverance, and a lot of help from
my family, I was able to get my life back on the
right track. I am proud to say that as I write this
I have been clean and sober for over twelve years.
Unfortunately the ten year addiction did a number on
my personal finances. Only now after ten years sober
am I finally able to afford my first love.
When I realized that 1997 would be the 30th
anniversary of the Camaro I knew that I had to have
one. I was at my local Chevy dealer, Faulkner
Chevrolet in Lancaster Pa., looking at a gorgeous
blue Z/28 when the salesman mentioned that in 1996
Chevy brought back the SS. Man that was all I had to
hear. A few weeks later I took the plunge. I ordered
a 1997 Camaro SS.
Now I dont want you to think that Camaros are all
that I think about. Although since I got mine I
must admit that I haven't thought about much else.
One of the things that I realized when I got sober
was that I had to find other ways to occupy my time.
So in the ten years since I stopped drinking I have
developed several hobbies, like softball, mountain
biking, inline skating, and my other passion skiing.
The reason I created this site was so that I can
share my interests with others, so you will find that
along with information about my car and links to my
favorite Camaro sites, you will also find links and
info.on a variety of my favorite subjects.
