- Don Tatum pulled off on lap 1 while in 8th place. Many brownie points earned at home!
- Chris Lawrence crashed in Curva 3 on lap 1 while in 1st place. He claimed he swerved to avoid a wild dog crossing the track.
- On lap 4, while in 3rd place, Dick Higgins pulled off with a severely damaged car after spinning in Curva 4. The spectators booed his lack of determination to finish.
- This was Tim Carnahan's first victory in FORS. Congratlations Tim!
- John Weber's two-race win streak comes to an end.
- John Weber maintains a slim margin over Tim Carnahan in the drivers championship.
- A 2-3 finish consolidates Lotus' lead in the constructors championship.
