Incident Report
  • Bill Severe chose to start the race with a car that had fewer than the maximum design points.
  • Don Tatum arrived late and joined the race from the pit lane one lap down.
  • On lap two the steward discovered that the back straight was one space too long. It was immediately corrected for the remainder of the race.
  • Don Tatum retired on lap 2 while in 9th place.
  • Bill Severe retired with a blown engine on lap 3 while in 1st place.
  • John Weber has now won two races in a row.
  • John Weber takes an early lead in the drivers championship.
