5th Annual Rocky Mountain Buick GS Club's BOP Shootout

Was rescheduled for October 11th, 1997

At Pueblo Motor Sports Park, Pueblo, CO.

This years event was to be a 99 car Muscle Car shootout featuring Buick products of all types. The first 99 cars to register would get to race. There was also a Show and Shine attraction for no additional fee and any car may enter. Awards for 1st and 2nd place overall.

The RMBGS Club holds an annual BOP race in Pueblo Colorado during mid-to-late summer. The weather is usually pretty good if you like it about 95 degrees with low humidity and you can always hope for a gentle breeze. The event draws cars from as far away as Texas. It is not a real big event but is very enjoyable and if you like to make a lot of runs this is the place to be. This year (1997) the club had a real good turnout even though it was a rescheduled due to RAIN. The weather was very windy the day we raced. We had wind gusts of up to 50 mph!!
