to Mudslingers garage. This is where all curent projects will be covered
and
hopefully completeted. I will be updating this page on a regular basis explaning
some of the projects.
Current
Projects going on in my garage
The curent projects going on are , a sherpa 5 speed box being
mated to seires III transfer case and a single lever system to eliminate
the two levers which currently activate the 4WD high/low system. This
should be of most interest to people who are sick and tierd of stopping to
disengage 4WD high, with this system you can disengage on the move. cool
eh......The other project is quite different , it's what I call a radical
solution for my gearbox troubles. I have installed a Tdi 200 engine into
my Land Rover and after a year now, the gearbox is showing signs of wear
and tear, due to the more powerful engine. So it was decided that the gearbox
should be changed and not overhauled(due to the fact that I blew 4
gearboxes
with the other engine 2286cc).Thanks to Rover this process of swapping boxes
was not simple but possible thanks to an engineering firm. Most of the work
is being carried out by myself but some times I require the services of third
parties which consume lots of valuable time. I will be updating this page
with the progess of both projects, well one is in an advanced stage of completion
while the other is still collecting dirt and dust on the engineers workbench.
