Death in a Dream

Have you ever been killed by the one that you love?

I have and she did it with one little shove.

Off the cliff I went in dream,

I ripped a hole in the seam,

Of my reality, because I felt death with a thud.

Have you ever in a dream ended face down in the mud?

I have and there was nothing I could do,

But let my life seep out of me like goo.

Death is something you should only feel once,

But hey now I've felt it a bunch.

It keeps me from sleep many nights,

My fear of it has reached unrivaled heights.

I hope death isn't the same as I see,

Because I can't take that feeling inside of me.
