Ergonomic Enterprises". Funding Plan: The first goal of Ahhhh... Ergonomic Enterprises is to secure start up financing. Ahhhh... will secure small loans from friends and family. This money will be used to pay for patent protection for the first product, and pay the computer programmer who develops the idea. Ahhhh... will also seek grant and seed money from corporate and foundation sources. First of all we must relax. We must step back from all of the tools and systems we have and identify what we do not like and use intuitive common sense to change what lacks true ergonomics or true sense. We must break procedures and allow our minds to see that the way things are will not always be the way they are. Everything can and will change. We are at the dawn of the age. We have mastered the ability to make thoughts visible. We can keep our thoughts and share our thoughts with anyone on the planet. Our advancements are truly spectacular. We have just begun designing our tools. Our tools are unrefined, complicated, cumbersome and very unfriendly to our ergonomic and ecological environment. All of the users of our modern devices say our lives are made easier, but at what cost? We must begin to look at what we lose when our lives become encumbered with our modern tools. We must look at how we sit, at how we stand, how we interact with one another and we must above all else become aware of the environmental impact, the end result of our progress. Ergonomics is the study of comfort and ease of use. Comfort is a relative term. What is comfortable to one person may be very uncomfortable to another. All Ahhhh... products and services will promote customization. There seems to be a shortage of comfort in the devices in the 2K marketplace. I wonder if the designers of modern inventions really know what it is like to be at perfect ease, without any visual or bodily strain. Chapter One: Xfp (Exists for People) The transition from what is to what will be. My first invention entered my mind in 1992. I could never make out the address when traveling around, visiting relatives and such. I had been working at a Sign Company called Integrated Sign and Graphic for two years, placing lights inside signs so customers could read the signs at night. It came on like a light bulb. Why not make a version of an address marker, which will illuminate from within, so relatives, the pizza delivery guy, or emergency personnel can quickly and easily find their way to their destination. I had one built for my mother's house and it came on at night and went off during the day. The mind numbing process of entrepreneurial enterprise kept me paralyzed to the point of inaction. The internally illuminated address marker has yet to reach the American mass market, but Ahhhh... Ergonomic Enterprises will make the dream a reality. The next major annoyance I discovered in 1999. I had blindly used the modern QWERTY style computer keyboard from 1983 when I got my first computer, to this very moment as I write this sentence. I found I would misspell nearly every word, either through ignorance or fingers hitting the wrong keys. I would constantly have to "reach" my pinkie finger three whole inches to backspace. Once I became aware of how annoying and ergonomically incorrect this stretch was to make, I began to look at everything and recognize ergonomic logical inefficiencies in our devices, system, lifestyles, and our thinking. I began to conceptualize alternatives to everything in our lives and began to see we are victims of our procedure-dominated culture and unwillingness and lackadaisical attitude to change. I knew I was on to an obvious problem that needed to be addressed. I began to study patent and business processes. The more I studied the less I liked. It seems the extremes of making things happen to change our world are Non-Profit and Corporate entities. Currently our economic entities are sole proprietorships, partnerships, corporate charters, and non-profit charters. I only desire to make enough profit to make the Ahhhh... to be able to deliver awesome products and services to the masses. The main goal is to help mankind. To say one is non-profit is to deny the need for self-sustaining viability, to say one is sole for profit leads to a culture of greed within the company. Any company worthy of customer support needs to always maintain an awareness that all economic activity is to better the lot of all mankind. To create a way to make the lives of the have's more comfortable, while ignoring the plight of the world's have not's amounts to corporate exploitation. This dissatisfaction with "the way things are" helped create a thought pattern that allowed me to conceive of an alternative to non-profit or for profit entities. This alternative will have to be created by the people, and we will have an uphill battle. Laws will have to be changed, and new ones will have to be created. In the end, I hope we will have a better way, and it is my desire for Ahhhh... Enterprises to introduce this better way and when the better way becomes a reality I desire for Ahhhh... Enterprises to be legally organized under the new way bearing the mark X.f.p., which means Exists for people. I fear the process of protecting my intellectual property. This fear controls my life. There is a big monster of an entity called the patent and trademark office. It is a modern day idea protection and repression When it comes to inventing, there is a joy of thinking of something new, and creating something new but the joy is short lived if there is a desire to make a profit off of the idea. Thinking of something, and tinkering and creating objects and systems is the easy part, proving to the world you thought of the idea first is the ultimate challenge. The long road of saving for a patent attorney, for a patent, for a prototype...the whole nine yards is mind numbing. I am an original inventor. Everything I have thought of I came up independently and originally. X.f.p. will promote the protection intellectual property through date time stamping will receive compensation after the idea is successfully realizing a profit or is sold outright for a profit. So, if you thought of a way to save peoples lives, wouldn't you be kind of responsible to share that life saving measure with the world? I think so. I am aware of the trend of intellectual property theft. I am very aware...and I aim to change all of that. I must not allow that to keep my mouth shut when I believe some of the simplest life saving measures are currently within the realm of modern 2k technology. If only we lived in a world where people recognize the benefit of sharing. The ultimate goal of X.f.p. is to create a new economic construct, a new model of doing business, which allows every individual to become an economically viable entity, without any financial resources whatsoever. Ntwrk Needs- people Chapter Two: e-mail Games Let's face it, manufacturing requires capital. Currently Ahhhh... Ergonomic Enterprises is a startup. The money to create objects that need to be physically created needs to be raised. Software can be created and replicated infinitely without large amounts of capital. The main expense is paying programmers to create the programs, marketers to promote the program, and patent protection. I believe my idea of turning the process of checking e-mails into a game will be highly profitable and be a perfect way to raise capital to build the manufacturing arm of Ahhhh... E-mail games begins with integrating one of my favorite 80's video games, space invaders into a way of deleting unwanted e-mails. I thought of this idea in the year 2000 when my e-mail began to get flooded with junk mail. I put the idea on the back burner, thinking it was purely novelty with no profound application other than making deleting e-mails fun. I did not begin see the profit potential, and hence a powerful tool that can be used to raise the necessary capital to create crucial inventions such as the Tabla Thought Catcher. I first shared the idea to one of my friends Jodi Larson in September of 2006. I am planning to collaborate next week with two or more programmers this week of (5/14/07) and will actively seek to recruit programmers until someone is able to make this idea a reality. The collaborators, Angel and others I trust, will assist me in making this program a reality. I made my first certified poor man's patent the other day and sent it for safe keeping to my step-day James L. Hayden attorney. E-mail games will have a new catchy name. It could incorporate the actual game which it uses such as e-mail invaders or e-mail shooter. Any style video game can be integrated into this system. In e-mail games the RE: line and whom the email is from can be put in side a small box resembling a space ship. Different variations will allow the enemy space ships (the mountains of junk mail) to come at the defenders ship (the computer user). The ship of the user will be equipped with different graphical lasers and weapons. Instead of having to check off the e-mail you want to delete (in the current e-mail system) you will simply shoot them. The game can be created with any current 3d video game or old school eighties Atari style game. In some versions wanted e-mail could be saved using tractor beam, or a different colored laser. There would naturally be a safety feature that will allow the user to undelete e-mails in case the user made an accidental deletion. It would be ideal if the program could work in conjunction with current e-mail programs such as Hotmail, gmail, or yahoo mail. I swear this idea to be my own, original and whole. I came up with it because I truly hate deleting e-mails, and Ahhhh, it will be so nice to make an arduous task fun. No wire or cords will be needed all parts of the Tabla system will send short-range encrypted signals. Tabla mobile The Story Of QWERTY (Learning the language of change) The modern computer as of Tuesday, April 24, 2007, is dominantly controlled by an input device called the qwerty style keyboard. The other dominant device is a device called a mouse. The lay out on the current worldwide keyboard is a holdover from the layout of the old-fashioned key strike typewriter. When the typist used the original key strike typewriters(,) presumably alphabetic, the letters occurring with the greatest frequency in the alphabet at would jam up at the such high speeds. The large key strikes were located at the ends tightly packed arms that connected the keys to the alphanumeric buttons through a system of levers and springs. (assuming the key is the part that strikes the ribbon and leaves an imprint on the paper) strike keys would not pass each other but would rather stick. (Tabla editing note: word over left button would be pushed so I can add the comma I forgot...the one in parenthesis above, which I had to scroll character by character or use a mouse to point and click...I suppose being to reach out at the screen and make a comma sign with the finger where it should go would be nice, periods could be added in such a way also, and capitalization's instant by touching the first letter, and misspelling, we will get to that) Some bright thinker figured out if you dispersed the more popular letters around the button board in a random fashion the jamming problem would be solved. With the advent of the computer age computer manufacturers developed an input keyboard device calling the buttons keys, when in reality there were no keys to stick and no longer a need for the random layout the sticking keys problem created. The next page in the sticking keys problem will be to allow qwerty dependent typists to continue using qwerty but have a way to swap to my new, one handed and alphabetic ergo numeric, with dominant hand swapping capability with passive hand control. right handed alphabetic keyboard with thumb pinkie toggle to control functions... Eagle 1 With smaller letter dimples surrounding aeiou ergonomically spaced to the natural resting position of the users hand as the home row. When a hand lies naturally on a surface in a resting state there is a guideline as to where the home row of the keyboard should fall. The keys should be grouped around the home row as tightly as possible to prevent any unnecessary wrist movement. I created a new qwerty layout I call the eagle one. This new qwerty style keyboard with these ergonomically drifted keys and the backspace key located where the semicolon used to be. Figure 2. This first version utilizes the option of using the function keys in their former position and in a new thumb position. Another addition is a touch-tap pad or click ball built into the keyboard near the pointer finger. Eagle II rearranges the non alphabetic key in more logical locations, adds pressure sensitive capitalization (push harder to get a capital letter). Both, Eagle I and Eagle II can use the current push button keyboard systems or could use a touch sensitive pad or screen. This surface will be a solid layer which will solve the problems of coffee spills, dust and dirt, or even dangerous germs such as anthrax. The keys will be programmable and will have the capability to switch between the new one-handed Tabla keyboard, Eagle I, or Eagle II. This keyboard will have the option to be split apart, be wireless, and will be able to attach to chair arms. Once lightly for one through five and slightly harder for six through ten. A split hand input system is adjustable to the sides of the user. The bracket would hold a sliding piece that would lock down the massager. The user could move up and down and get the kink they could not reach out of their back. * True Ergonomic Chairs There is only one true ergonomic position for a back, a 90 degree angle. All Ahhhh... Ergonomic chairs would promote this truth. Chairs that help people stand up or lay all the way back will be created. Chapter Five: Transportation, Mobilization, and Equal Access Promotion Through Innovation Lack of innovation in modern transportation methods and systems promote pollution of air and water, war for oil, and the huge human cost of death from automobile accidents. * The Scuttle Bug A scuttle bug is basically video camera on wheels that will send video to the conductor of the train in order to give the conductor warning to allow the train to stop in time before hitting objects on the train tracks. The Scuttle Bug, or remote controlled camera pod, will have breaks, lights, whistles, auditory speakers, G.P.S., infrared sensors, short wave digital transmitter, Segway balancing technology, and any other available technology to help protect the passage of an oncoming train. Ideally the remote controlled camera pod would operate far enough ahead of the train to allow the train to stop if the tracks are blocked. Objects which managed to come between the pod and the train could be decected using a laser system. How could we ever have good ways to travel, safe non polluting ways to increase the amount of time from point a to point b. I can summarize the future of travel in a few words...light weight bumper cars, with a very low center of gravity. Drive into a depot that locks the bumper car onto a carrier that travels on the tracks to wherever you want...with great speed. Motion, Mobilization, and Transportation Research * Bike Bubbles A simple waterproof cover that connects to the handle bars and around to the back of the bike using Velcro attachments. The frame to support this cover can be made out of light weight tubing. The top speed is appx. 25 miles an hour. They would have to be used in city with a separate grid for alternate transportation to prevent anyone getting run over by an S.U.V. * Pod Tubes and Pod Tracks Pod cars could go to a station where the pod car would lock onto a pod carrier. The pod and pod carrier would merge onto a side track, pick up the speed to match the main track speed, then would be transferred onto the main track into a safety spaced location. The whole system would be built with the intention of having a zero casualty rate from accidents. * Hanging Pod Movers The same system as pod tracks, but in a system that hangs the pod from above. A combination of a track and a hanging system could be used to create a system that is safe from the possibility of derailment. * Alternative Fuel Station The biggest drawback to electric powered vehicles is the weight of the batteries, and the time involved to allow them to charge. At an alternative fuel station vehicles will be able to swap out batteries by paying a reasonable fee. Other alternative fuels could be available also. Alternative Fuel Station will also have alternative healthy snacks, sandwiches, and smoothies for sale, and none of the junk food currently found in convience stores. Chapter Six: Education * Algebra rides Using Tabla Thought Catcher technology, a student learning algebra will be able to ride the solution to equations. Algebra ride will be like a virtual reality ride and could be used for other kinds of math applications, physics, and chemistry. Beginning in hospitals, there will be an accountability of housekeeping services. Patient rooms will be steam cleaned from top to bottom. These mobility systems will speed recovery, improve hospital safety by preventing falls, and dramatically improve the mental health of patients by giving them a feeling of independence and freedom. Private cameras in the room and in the homes of families will allow patient monitoring, and allow the patient to keep in touch with families. These cameras would use Internet to send the video and would use encryption technology to insure privacy. Terminally ill patients would be able to watch families which are dispersed across great distances eat dinner together, celebrate birthdays, and other activities. This would permit a more humane way to die, allowing connectivity, since families must continue to go about their lives and cannot remain at the hospital all of the time. A truly effective medical system would have in home doctor visits. This would allow the doctor to see living conditions which could be a huge contributing factor in the decline of a patients health. Lifestyle trainers and rehabilitation specialists could be assigned to remedy the patients situation. Chapter Eight: The Political Eye * Vote Verification and Confirmation systems A way to confirm that our votes really got counted. This will cut down on racial profiling, and will allow the people to finally send a clear message to oppressive local governments that they want fairness and mercy instead of police who no longer serve and protect. * Equal access reforms In every situation, home, office, transportation, entertainment venues, those who do not have mobility issues will be able to live happy integrated lives without hardship due to lack of innovation.
