So, how cool would it be if the bus driver of a city bus was pod casting his GPS location to the people wanting to catch the bus? Then, one would simply leave the house when the bus is getting close to your bus stop. Immediately the process of waiting for a bus has become much less annoying.

Now that your child knows exactly when the bus is about to arrive, there is less of a window for something bad to happen to your child. They can broadcast a GPS, I'm still ok and walking to the bus stop, oh, here come the bus, hey I am on the bus. Simple answer to a very very big problem. One child abducted is absolutely tragic, and the need for it to "never ever happen to my child" is great and can be solved with more efficient and applied communication technology that won't take a genius of a company to develop.

What do we do when someone goes Cho? With GPS pointing devices, user can point at the direction they hear the gunfire and dial 911. The police computer will triangulate the data of the GPS user position and the direction of all the user pointing at the sound of the gunfire, which will essentially be a aggressor locater. This would work well for places which are very violent.
