Cynthia-Recini's are an un-naturally occuring cross-breed between a Cynthia moth and a Recini moth. Both moths look almost identical to each other. The product looks like a dark Cynthia moth. This cross-breed is unlike most other, however. Both the male and female product of this cross-breed will be sexually viable. And they can even mate with each other and produce fertilized eggs.

I have tried raising these on:
Black Walnut (Juglans nigra)
Lilac (Syringa vulgaris)
Ailanthus/Chinese Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima)

Ailanthus works best, the ones that ate walnut, did not even make it past 2nd instar. The only thing taken from Lilac was a few nibbles. Until I have more to experiment with, I am content that only Ailanthus will work.
