Ice Cream Social and Game Night
Coming up August 13th--Legacy Park
Join us for socializing, ice cream and bunko!  We will be providing the ice cream and toppings.  If you have a specific favorite ice cream topping, please bring it with you.  For those of you not familiar with Bunko, there are no skills required!  It is more about talking and having fun.  Since we cannot play for money, please bring a bag of candy or fun treat (no more than $5) and that can be the winner's pot.
Meetings and Mom's Nights Out:
We meet twice a month generally on the second Wednesday and fourth Tuesday.  Our meeting location is a community room at Legacy Park.  Legacy Park is located in east Lee's Summit off Blackwell between Langsford and Colburn Roads.  The address is 901 NE Blackwell Parkway.  Meetings start at 7 pm and generally go for an hour and a half to two hours.  MNO event location and times can vary.  Please contact us for details.

Each meeting features a specific discussion topic and sometimes a guest speaker. Meetings are without children (exception - infants under 6 months), and childcare is not provided by Mothers and More.  However, when we meet at Legacy Park you can use their child care for visitors for a small fee.  Please email for more information if you are interested in this service.  Visitors are welcome to attend three meetings as our guest before deciding to join!

Self Defense Seminar
Coming up August 26th at Kids2Leaders, 3385 Fascination Dr
Would you know what to do if you were approached by a strange man?  the best way to defend yourself is by taking a self defense class toknow what to do.  A class can given women the self-protection skills they need to avoid becoming the victims of violent crime.  Women who know how to recognize and effectively respond to potentially dangerous situations, can consequently enjoy a freer and more fulfilling life. Please join us for this important meeting with Mr. Jon Burge on Self Defense.  There is no cost for this class and feel free to bring your mother, daughter or friends/potential members!  There can be 30-40 individuals in the class so let's not pass this opportunity up!  Wear work out clothes and be prepared for a sense of empowerment! Please rsvp by August 12th.  Kids2Leaders will be using this as one of their normal self defense seminars, so if we don't fill it up, they will open it to the public.
